The motor is turning but the wheels arent moving could it be the gears are disengaged or a problem with the transaxel??

Hi Delores , you need to make sure the coupler that interfaces the gearbox to the motor is not broken, if that's okay then must likely the motor worm interface gear is spinning across the main Drive worm gear, I can engineer new worm gears but they can be costly,cheaper than a new transaxle in most cases ...

1. Disengage the bobbin winder.That is done by moving the arm away from the center wheel. 2. Tighten the hand wheel. When you tighten you should have resistance like a jar has. If this doesn't then continue. 3. Loosen the small screw attached to the hand wheel center lug. Now, move the hand wheel into a position where it will tighten. 4. Go ahead and tighten the small screw. Now, it should move.

Usually you simply grasp the wheel and turn it. Most machines use the wheel to thread bobbins, and typically you pull the wheel out, directly outward away from the machine, slightly, to disengage the gears so the bobbin will wind without the needle going up/down. If it's pulled out, it will just spin when you try to turn it and the needle won't move.

If that's what's happening try pushing the wheel in, toward the machine. You can't push too hard, really, it will either pop in or not. If not, and if it won't move, it may be seized, which means one more of the gears inside have stuck together from overheating of lack of oil. If so, it's going to need a repair man.

Hope it's just disengaged.

Check the drive shaft bushings if they are worn the gears are probably binding and this creates the problem you are having.

make sure the inside of the wheels arent stripped they are gears if loose take apart adjust out so they touch the other gear that should fix that if gears are stripped you can change the front wheels to the back

If this is automatic you can be leaking at the banjo bolts,for manual the oil fill plug or oil drain plug,lift up the front wheels put the E brake on,do this all safetly,run the vehicle in gear wait and watch

Vibrations can be mostly from the mountings, plz check the gear box mountings too and the shafts!

The way to move without the motor running...

1.on each wheel pull pin in center of hub
2.push wheel closer to motor.
3.put pin back in to axle but not though hub
4.do the same steps to other wheel
now you can push tiller

Check to see if any oil leaks between rear wheels where the tractor was parked. Also make sure hydrostatic disengage lever, at rear of tractor by hitch, has to be pushed in.

If you have tried shifting stopped and moving, then I'd say the transfer servo could be broken. It is the motor on the transfer case that shifts it in and out of four wheel drive. If you know how to use a voltmeter, test the wires that run to the servo to see if it is getting the signals it should be. Newer vehicles usually have a computer associated with the transfer case motor. You could have the car plugged to a tester at auto zone to see if it is giving a code.
