Check the Remote: Make sure you have the remote control for the projector.
Press the Menu Button: On the remote, press the "Menu" button.
Navigate to Security or System Lock: Use the arrow keys on the remote to navigate through the menu options. Look for a section related to "Security" or "System Lock."
Enter the Unlock Code: If you previously set a system lock code, you will need to enter it using the remote control. If you haven't set a code before, try the default code (often 0000 or 1234).
Disable System Lock: Once you've entered the correct code, navigate to the option to disable or unlock the system lock.
Confirm: Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your choice, and the system lock should be disabled.
Power Off: First, make sure the projector is powered off.
Control Panel: On the projector itself, locate the control panel with buttons. You should find buttons like "Menu," "Enter," "Up," "Down," "Left," and "Right."
Access Menu: Power on the projector and press the "Menu" button on the control panel. This should display the on-screen menu.
Navigate Menu: Use the arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through the menu options until you find the "System" or "Settings" menu.
Unlock: Within the System or Settings menu, look for an option related to the system lock or security settings. Use the arrow buttons to select it.
Disable Lock: Once you've highlighted the lock option, press the "Enter" or "OK" button to access its settings. You may need to enter a password if it's set, so try default passwords like "0000" or "1234." If none work, you might need to contact Sharp support for a password reset procedure.
Unlock: After accessing the lock settings, disable or unlock the system lock.
Exit Menu: Exit the menu by pressing the "Menu" button again.
Test: Power off the projector and then power it back on to see if the system lock has been successfully removed.
Do you hear any fans starting when you turn on the projector? Try unplugging and then plugging in the projector. Make sure that the lamp door is secured as the projector will not start if it is loose. You should also reset the timer for your projector. The manual can be found on the site of www.allprojectorlamps.com.
You may have tried using the zoom ring located at the lens there are two rings one for focus and zoom. If this is not working you will need to either move the projector physically forward or backward from the screen until you can use the zoom accordingly.
this is something which sharp didnt foresee!!!!!!!!!! sharp has two identical models sharp xr10x & the newer model xr10xl.both the lamps look alike , however both have a different rating & reverse connector!! i.e both cannot be interchanged!however if u have the old xr10x & if u try to fit the new bulb which is lower in wattage, it will explode in 20 mins if you have bought a used projector , then u wont know if someone has interchanged the ballast!! as this model was discontinued 2 years back!!!! so confirm the model , it is mentioned under sharp name or at the bottom good luck
depending on the age of your computer, some of the older video cards in XP only will allow you to show video in 600x800 resolution. When you want to show video go ahead and change both of your display properties (both the primary and the secondary) to 600x800. See if that works.
If that is not what you are refering to go right click on your desktop and look for the properties or settings of your graphics card. it may say graphics properties . In that area there will be tons of options like (when showing video only show it on the secondary monitor) play around with the different settings on your graphics card.
Good luck
