New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. You can charge the battery in two ways: • Charging the device’s battery by connecting the power adapter. • Connecting your device to a PC via the provided Mini USB cable. Note: Only the AC adapter and USB cable provided with your device should be used to charge the device. Charging is indicated by a solid amber light on the left LED indicator. As the battery is being charged while the device’s power is on, a charging icon will be shown on the title bar of the Today screen. After the battery has been fully charged, the left LED becomes green and a full battery icon appears on the Today screen’s title bar. Warning! Do not remove the battery from the device while you are charging it using the AC or car adapter. As a safety precaution, the battery stops charging when it overheats. When the low-battery warning appears, do the following: • Immediately save your current data. • Synchronize with your PC or connect the power adapter to charge the battery. • Turn off your device.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else.

SOURCE: my enV will not charge!

Hey i think i just figured out the problem to all the port charging issues for the envy and envy 2 phones with verizon. its not the phones, its the charger cord! the part that goes into the phone. it gets pulled out over time from pulling the cord out of the phone all the time. get a pair of pliers. grab the end and push the metal end of the cord against somthing hard, push it back in so it is at the appropriate depth. this should make it charge properly again!

SOURCE: cell phone won't charge/or hold a charge

you are not to keep a phone charging that long...only charge a mobile when the battery is completely dead that is the only way that you will have a good battery for a long time.

what you should do is try a new battery with the work and see if that helps other then that you will need to have the phone usb port service or checked.

My smart tablet keeps shutting off about 5-10 seconds after i turn it on. What could i do to try to fix and or is it hopeless? Thanks

Sounds like the battery is either very very low or dead. Try plugging in the charger for a few minutes and then starting it WHILE LEAVING THE CHARGER PLUGGED IN If it works, try to charge battery without using it for 6-8 hrs. If it will not take a charge you need a new battery.

Why does my tom tom keep going the shut down page every 10 seconds I have pressed reset but makes no difference I ride bmw r1200rt

One possible cause is that your battery is low or the battery can no longer hold a (good) charge. In this case, the TomTom is shutting down because there's not enough battery to keep it running, even though it is plugged into a power source.

To determine if the battery is the cause, try to charge the TomTom battery .... using a (USB) connection to your computer, or a direct power source (i.e. while the TomTom is not being used). Let it charge for a few hours until the batter charge indicator shows that it is fully charged (or just leave it charging overnight).
Then, unplug the TomTom from the "charger" and power it up. If the TomTom (battery) doesn't hold a (good) charge, the device will shut down within a few minutes, e.g. 10 mins or much less.
When you (then) plug the device into a power source, and it doesn't stay on (i.e. it keeps shutting down after 10 seconds), you can safely conclude that the battery is the cause of your problem.

Please try keeping the phone and the battery in a warm place for some time, then try to charge the battery and check if it works, also try battery from your friends battery from a similar phone, if it works, some problem with the battery and you would need to replace the battery.

Why does my garmin nuvi 205w keep shutting off?

The most common cause is low battery.(no voltage to the unit)
Does it shut off if plugged in and not moved?
If you have a old battery it may show a full charge while having only a surface charge and of course....will shut off.
Also if it is plugged in and the connection is moved causing a bad connection .....even for a second while having a bad battery in the unit ....it will ...of course ....shut off.

My mobill betry is so low and icant solution this problem so you can solv problem now thanks my name is piyushmistry &my cell no is 09824136819

Hello Sir, If the battery is showing low battery then you should charge it with its corresponding Charger. I think you are willing to tell that the Phone is showing low battery even after charging. If that is the case then there can be 2 causes :--- (1) The Phone's battery is not properly plugged in and thus can't properly retain the Charge which is supplied. In this case, try cleaning the Battery Contact, I mean the 3 Power pins and the 3 power slots. Use something like dry cloth. (2) The Battery is damped or defective. If damp then don't try to charge, it can sometimes explode. Kindly take it to a Service Center and get it repaired.
Also try changing the Battery.
Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.

Nokia 3555b shuts off for no reason

CAUSE:The Nokia's problem of shutting off is a design flaw. The tension in the spring at the positive contact is too low to keep the battery in contact with the negative pole.

SOLUTION:Just  wedge a small piece of paper between the actual phone and the positive side of the battery(not between the contact) .This will prevent the battery from shifting away from the negative pole which causes the phone to shut off...
Hope this helps.

Phone keeps blinking, will not stay on

This may due to the moisture accumulated inside the phone. Kindly open the phone casing, take out the battery and let it sit on room temperature.

have you tried turning the phone on with its adapter plugged? it may also be caused by a low power source. your battery might need charging.

otherwise, do consider replacing your battery.
