All day the light has been flashing that data is being processed but not doing printing copying etc so unsure why it's flashing. I turned it off and pulled the plug kept it out for about 30 seconds
In the printer properties on the pc , check for the list of items to be printed as there may be a confusion there that is not allowing the pc to send the data to the printer

If you are experiencing issues with your Canon IR3300 printer when trying to print in Xerox print processing mode, but it's working fine in regular print mode, there could be a few possible causes. Here are a few things you can check:
Check the printer driver: Make sure that the correct printer driver is installed and that it is compatible with the Xerox print processing software. If the driver is not compatible, the printer may not function properly in Xerox print processing mode.
Check the network connection: Make sure that the printer is properly connected to the network and that it can communicate with the Xerox print processing software.
Check the print settings: Make sure that the print settings are correctly configured for Xerox print processing mode. This includes the resolution, color mode, paper size, etc.
Check the Xerox software: Make sure that the Xerox software is compatible with your computer's operating system and that it is properly installed and configured.
Check the firmware: check if your printer's firmware is up to date.
Check the paper size and tray: Make sure that the paper size and tray are correctly configured for Xerox print processing mode.
Apparently the battery is Circuit Board mounted and is a backup memory battery.
Li (lithium) battery • The Li battery is mounted on the printed circuit board in the data processing unit "QM-Data". Do not dispose of the data processing unit by burning it. If the data processing unit is thrown into fire, the battery may leak chemicals, burst, or burn violently. Comply with government regulations regarding the disposal method.
and
• This error message indicates that the memory backup battery is low, and that if you continue to use the data processing unit "QM-Data", backup will not be performed. Save the part programs and measured data stored in the internal memory of the data processing unit to the floppy disk or to a personal computer. • Contact your supplier to replace the battery.
It also says changing the battery removes any saved data.
So if you are looking to do it yourself, look for screws to get inside.
Try going into Control Panel > Printers and Properties, right-click on your printer icon and go into Printer Preferences for that printer. Make sure both Page Size and Output Size are set for the the same size of what you are printing (Letter, Letter/Legal, Legal/A4,A4, etc). Often, Output size is set to Match Page Size...that was causing the problem for me.
Some would say Input, Processing, Output. The diagram would be an arrow from input to processing, then an arrow from processing to to output. Then an arrow from output to Input in this way of looking at it. You will find more complicated descriptions and diagrams, too.
It is Sequence of steps performed repeatedly by a computer in the execution of a program. The computer's central processing unit (CPU) continuously works through a loop. It fetches a program instruction from memory. Then the CPU fetches any data it needs. Then it applies the data to the program. It stores the result in memory. Then it fetches another program instruction.

If it is solid on, it means the printer is ready to print; no action is required. If it's flashing, it means the printer is processing data and should print soon.
If you are printing from your computer and nothing comes out, with the "Horseshoe" light staying solid, I suggest checking the connection between your computer and the printer, or at least the printer configuration. Most of the time, unplugging, then plugging cables back in does the trick.
Not really sure about Mac, but if this happens on a PC, I would first uninstall the printer (software-wise) then download the latest drivers and install.
There is a job waiting to be processed. Need to check status monitor to see what is waiting. If it is not critical you can cancel the job from that same screen.
Because you have an i model copier it must be setup to print and scan also. Someone might have sent a job that could be processed for one reason or another. Look in the bottom right side of touch screen for status monitor and see what details it has.
