SOURCE: fitting of door seal on zanussi electrolux washing

Remove plastic clamp holding seal to cabinet and peel off the cabinet.push downwards on the seal close to the tub and the seal will come off - its just held by a spring round the periphery.

To fit new seal
Lubricate the slot which fits over the tub with washing-up fluid - essential
Starting at the top, press the seal so the flange of the tub enters the slot on the seal. Work your way round the using thumbs to force the slot on the tub flange. When slot is on the flange all way round, fit the spring which holds it on. The spring goes into a slot on the outside of the seal. this is quite difficult and you may need another pair of hands.
Fit the outside of the seal to the cabinet - this is easy and fit the plastic clamping ring.
Test for leaks before using in earnest. Use rinse to test as the water level is higher

SOURCE: remove and replace front door seal on LG wm2277HS front loader wa

Follow these steps to replace your door seal:
Disconnect all power to the machine first!!
1 Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the door rim on the washing machine and examine it carefully for holes or tears. Many can be prised off with a flat-bladed screwdriver they have a spring system holding them, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2 After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Some are like very large Jubilee clips that you have to undo usually from the top.
3 Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the inner drum rim. Some machines have a water spout holes that will have to be lined up. Others have a drain holes.
4 Rubbing a drop of washing up liquid into the groove on the door seal/gasket that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.
5 the new washing machine door seal should be fitted by locating the drain holes at the bottom of the seal first then push it on with both hands working opposite directions towards the top. This is quite hard if you have never done it before.
6 refit the inner band remembering this must be tensioned correctly for it to be water tight.
7 now fit the outer band and the test the machine for any leaks,

How to replace the bottom door seal on a Electrolux Dishlex dishwasher DX303WK

How to replace the bottom door seal on an Electrolux Dishlex dishwasher DX303WK.

To Note: Before you begin, make sure you have the correct door seal for your dishwasher model. Before beginning any repairs, switch off the dishwasher and unhook it from the power source.

Materials Needed:
  • New door seal compatible with Electrolux Dishlex DX303WK
  • Screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Clean cloth
Step 1: Remove the Old Door Seal
  • Open the dishwasher door and locate the existing door seal around the bottom edge of the tub.
  • Gently peel back the old door seal from the edge of the tub. It should be secured with a rubber gasket or clips.
  • Use a screwdriver or pliers, if necessary, to remove any retaining clips or fasteners holding the old seal in place.
Step 2: Clean the Area
  • Once the old door seal is removed, clean the area around the edge of the tub thoroughly. Use a clean cloth to remove any dirt, debris, or residue.
Step 3: Install the New Door Seal
  • Take the new door seal and align it around the edge of the dishwasher tub, making sure it sits properly in place.
  • If your dishwasher has retaining clips or fasteners, use them to secure the new door seal in place. Alternatively, press the seal firmly to ensure it adheres to the tub securely.
Step 4: Test the Door
  • After installing the new door seal, close the dishwasher door gently.
  • Check for any obstructions or misalignment of the seal by running your fingers along the entire perimeter of the door. The seal should be evenly and securely in place.
Step 5: Reconnect and test the power.
Connect the dishwasher to the power source after ensuring that the new door seal is correctly placed.
Run a brief cycle or just check for leaks while the dishwasher is running normally.
If you run into any problems or difficulties throughout the replacement procedure, review the dishwasher's user manual or call Electrolux customer service for assistance. Additionally, if you are unsure about replacing the dishwasher yourself, consider hiring a professional dishwasher repair service.

The seal at the bottom of the door is a splash seal only. The only seal that does the real work is the big thick one around the sides and top.
That said, you can buy them from your electrolux parts shop.
If in Aus you call 131350 for the closest one.

It is easy to fix yourself, just unscrew the little screws around the inner edge of the door to remove the front panel. Do this while door is still on, you do not remove the whole door.

Also, be careful not to cut yourself. The inner and outer panel edges are extremely sharp.

Can front loader washer door on ewf1083 be interchangable

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Unlikely. The door's internal shape would have to be the same upside-down, of course ;-0(
Also it would have to have appropriate cut-outs, possible covered, and bolt holes on the opposite side. I would expect the handbook/manual to inform you as well as the sales person ;-0)

So- highly unlikely, sorry.

Dryer is leaving black, grease-like marks

I know, this is a common problem with side loaders. I have an old fashioned top loader myself to avoid this trouble. First check that the seals on the door haven't come loose (around the glass window). Keep the seals cleaned out regularly, so grimy, icky, muck doesn't build up inside. When the unit is not in use, leave the door opened!

This will allow unwanted moisture to escape instead of building up in the dryer, to smelly muck.

It probably smells pretty bad too.

Hopefully this will fix your problem.

If left untreated to long this can be a very hard problem to fix. However fortunately it sounds like your unit is still under warranty. If the above fixes don't work, I would seriously recommend you have your unit professionally serviced and cleaned.

The rubber seal around the door of the washing machine is black and slimy. It doesn't matter how often I clean it, it comes back black.

The problem has been caused by doing too many low temperature washes, this has allowed the bacteria to build up on the seal.
The only long term solutioin is to fit a new door seal, and do more high temp washes, at least once a month, do a 90 degree wash or hotter with powder in, but no clothes.
This is called a maintenance wash, and helps stop build up of bacteria, and keeps door seal clean.
Please rate my solution.
