How do I scan the TV clc501 for channels? I don't see a button for (antenna) to scan channels. I am only getting 2 channels, any help would be appreciated.

I can provide some general steps on how to scan for channels on a TV: Make sure that your TV is connected to an antenna or cable input. Turn on the TV and go to the main menu or settings. Look for an option to scan for channels or auto-tune. This option may be labeled as "Channel Setup" or "Channel Scan." Select the option to scan for channels and wait for the TV to complete the process. This may take several minutes. Once the scan is complete, you should see a list of available channels on your TV. If you're still having trouble, I suggest referring to the user manual that came with your TV for more specific instructions. Alternatively, you can try contacting the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.

What does code 576p indicate?

576p means 576 lines, progressive scan. 576 is number of visible lines on the UK system (and other nominally 625 line countries). The normal transmission system for these countries is 576i (interlaced scan), so I suspect that you are only seeing the 576p indication because there are no channels, and your TV is interpreting this as progressive scan.

The reason for no channels may be a poor signal from the aerial, or that the device (Humax or TV) has not been tuned. If you have power-saving enabled on the Humax, it will not pass on the aerial signal to the TV when the Humax is in standby. If this is the case, either turn power-saving off, or use a splitter to feed the aerial separately to the TV and Humax.

How to get NO SIGNAL off my TV screen and turn it on

If you are using a cable-system set-top box and running it to the Coaxial input of the TV, then you need to perform the channel scan. If you are using a set-top box and are using a composite or HDMI input cable to the TV, then no channel scan is required. You merely need to use the SOURCE button on the TV remote to choose the composite or HDMI input connection. Nd if you are getting a "no signal" indication on the TV, it IS on.

How do we scan/program in local tv channels. We bought an external antenna, but get no picture. Typically, there is a protocol for scanning channels into the set. Model is Sansui TVS2746B, and the set was...

Okay, does this tv have a built in DIGITAL tuner? Most tv's only have an analog tuner. You can tell the difference while you are changing the channels. If the channel indicates 2.1 or 2.2 and so forth, it is on a digital channel mode. If you change the channel and it indicated 2, 3, 4, etc. it is analog. If it has digital capability change the input until you see 2.1, 3.4 etc. If you cycle through all the inputs on the tv like, input 1 (TV) input 2(DVD) input 3(HDMI) and so forth and you never see the digital channel you most likely do not have a digital tuner. You will need to purchase a digital converter which will convert it to analog and you can watch it by placing you tv on analog channel 3 just like the old vcr's. Hope this helps and please don't forget to rate this solution.

Manual needed for Sanyo CP29ST3 - I need to tune in TV channels! I lost the manual!

Sanyo has two parts distributors in the U.S. Both are listed below. You'll need to contact the one closest to you and inquire about purchasing a replacement manual. In the meantime, if you're just trying to program the channels into your TV, you need to bring up the TV's menu and select the screen that has the channel or setup options. All TV menus follow the same general format: you should see icons or words going across the top of the screen or down the left side indicating the different menus that are available. On some older TVs you have to press the menu button more than once to cycle through the different menus. Each menu has different options such as picture options (brightness, color, tint, etc) audio options, setup options, and channel options. Use the arrow keys on the TV remote to manipulate what you see once the menu is on the screen. Once you find the channel options, you need to perform what's called a channel scan. On the screen it may say auto scan, auto program, or channel scan. Once you start the scan, you're done. The TV will scan for all available channels and the menu will disappear once it's finshed.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

Toshiba D-VR650KU can't "see" digital channels

On the Notification screen with Cable highlighted I found that left clicking on Cable gave a drop down menu with TV on it for selection. The manual says that while Cable is highlighted, use the up or down arrows to get TV to be an option and then select it and Yes and enter. Hope this helps. I have other problems with my monitor on Line Out, the screen oftens turns blue indicating low or no video using Line 1 or 2 inputs.
