Generally, if you get a pinkish tone with low contrast, it means that your sensor in the camera is shot and will either need to be fixed by a professional or replacement of the camera itself. You'll sometimes also see stripes in the images as well that can alternate dark and light.

Also Jane, for your particular camera, Canon should fix this for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Its highly likely a cable issue. You know which cable connection is wrong if are using component in and out. But change to a new connection cable whatever it is and I think it will be solved

The power went out and now my picture is pink toned. Any idea's?

It's on the CRT Board (on the CRT neck), check the Transistor for color drive, R,G and B, see if the solder is worn out, renew it by re-soldering all of it.

My samsung lcd hdtv's tv picture seems to be greenand pink tones

Mainboard damaged and need to be replaced, if under warranty, call in for service, if not try ebay to get a general picture of price range.

You will need your product code to get the board and it is located in the back of the Tv, next to serial number.
