The sim card is still tied to the previous service provider
get a new sim card from your new service provider
keep the plastic card that the sim card is attached to as there is the PUK code that you will need to open the phone stamped on that plastic card

I need to unlock my moto g boost mobile and I need the unlock codes please.

Boost Mobile Moto Gis CDMA only. CDMA phones don't take SIM cards, and the only unlock available is bootloader unlock via Motorola's website. If your country doesn't have CDMA carriers, don't buy the Boost Mobile, US Cellular, or Verizon Moto G, unless you plan on using it on Wi-Fi only

If I put my boost mobile sim in my new unlocked phone can i keep my service with boost and my number?

Your sim card is only "programmed" to work with your current phone and carrier. For example, if you took a windows program DVD and tried to install that windows program on Apple's OSX, it would not work. That sim card is like the DVD. The program for your phone's carrier (since Boost uses other carriers like Verizon, Sprint and AT&T) will not work and may ruin your phone or sim card. Happened to me, so I know.

If you are trying to use your Blackberry 9700 Bold on Boost Mobile then it may not work, as the phone may not support the technology with which Boost Mobile runs on. You would only be able to use Blackberry 9700 Bold on GSM carriers once unlocked.

How to unlock boostmobile i860

This cell phone will work for calls, internet, and text just like any other boost mobile cell phone. The best part is that you may use your CURRENT sim card and just switch it over to this cell phone and start talking.. If you do not currently have a sim card we sell those on this website also. This phone will work 100% with boost mobile unlimited cell phone service.. All features will work as well. Also this is a replacement cell phone which means that you will not need to update any contracts or service plans.

Where can I buy a sim card to use while traveling out of Canada to the United States?

First, you need to make sure your phone is SIM unlocked. After unlocking your phone, you can purchase an Cingular (AT&T) SIM card on eBay. Then call 1-800-331-0500. And set up a Go Phone account.

Go Phone is owned by Cingular (AT&T) in the United States. This is a pre-pay cell phone account that uses the Cingular (AT&T) SIM cards. You will have several options as to how you will be billed depending on the service you require. Pre-pay data is also available too, for an extra fee with the Go Phone plan.

See Go Phone Plans: http://bit.ly/cIo8dG

AT&T uses the 850/1900MHz band (1900 MHz UMTS band for 3G data) for cell phones in the US. Make sure your phone can use this bands.

If you need to SIM unlock your phone, you can do this two different ways.

The first is to contact your service provider and inform them that you need to have your phone SIM unlocked for international travel. Most providers require your account to be in good standing and that you've been their customer for a certain amount of time. Then, it's free.

The second is to purchase an unlock code. These can usually be found on eBay for as little as $2 US.

To search for the unlock code for your phone, on eBay, type in your phone model and the words 'unlock code' and your current service provider. (Example: Samsung BlackJack i607 Unlock Code Rogers) Once purchased, simply follow the instructions sent to you with the code and unlock your phone - then use the Cingular (AT&T) SIM card with the Go Phone pre-pay plan.

Tip: On some phones you must insert a SIM card NOT used by your current service provider when you enter the unlock code.

I have an active nextel i710 and want to move sim card to a i855 boost mobile, but i need a special unlock code. Can u help me.

Remove the battery from the phone. Let it remain out of the phone for 10 minutes with the phone off. Replace the battery and turn the phone on.

This is a problem with the phone trying to read the SIM card after being in another phone. Be patient. It may take several minutes for the phone to read the SIM.

How can you use a blackberry nextel phone with your boost plan

You do not need to "unlock" that blackberry.  If you put your boost sim in it the phone calling and direct connect will work immediately.  Getting the txting and internet to work require you to install other service books.  Try this link http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1530734  which explains how to remove the old books and add the correct service book to use mms and internet.
