Question about Samsung SC-D363 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
On my Samsun SC-D363, after I hook up the camcorder to the USB port, and I insert the software disk, it lets me install the DV Driver, and also lets me install DirectX 9; but when I go to install the Video Codex (as the manual states as the final installation) a message pops up telling me simply: "Installation Failed". I'm running Windows Vista.
I know that the line is properly connected because on the LCD screen it says USB streaming and has the USB port symbol letting me know I'm hooked up.
Oh and I was also wondering, why I can't get the message "USB Mass Storage" to go away when my camcorder is hooked up to the computer and switched from tape to memory?
This sounds like a device-driver problem. The camcorder will never be recognized by your PC until you get the right driver and then the 'Mass Storage' msg will go away.
Vista is too new for the D363. Check the Samsung website for a Vista driver for USB.
