I have a 2 yr. old C6180. It will not turn on as of yesterday. Power is coming from the socket as the little green lights on the plug are lighted. I have unplugged all cords and plugged them back in but printer still won't power up. Can you help? Lynn

Hi

try this out

The best way to deal with this issue is making sure that the printer isn't plugged to a surge protector
and performing a partial reset
youcan achieve this by unplugging the power cable and pressing # and 3 andthen replugging the cable and hold the # and 3 buttons until you seethe lcd lit up
also try the # and 6 and then # and 9 to reset it to factory defaults if the previous doesnt work

Try unplugging power cord and holding #6while your plugginmg in the power cord hold the button down until you see the display lights turning on and release if you are printing wirelessly you will have to do the wireless setup wizard again.
if that doesn't work try plugging it directly to the wall
if all else fails it may be the printer

My computer and HP C6180 shut down overnight. Nothing else in the house was affected. My computer turned on normally, but I cannot get the printer to power up. I've unplugged it several times. Both are...

I am using an HP printer but a different model. Disconnect your printer connection to your PC first. You can then check "power brick" light if it on (normally green in color). The power brick is the small box between the wire connecting your printer on one end and the power surge. Check first if there is a light. If its off, you may want to unplug the connection on the printer and check if it will turn green with the wire connected to the wall. If it does turn green, it is a problem with your printer. If it doesnt, it may be a problem with your wire. If your printer wire does not come with this power brick, you can plug the printer directly to the wall bypassing the power surge and see if it will work. If that does not work, try to reseat your wirings and try again. If it still does not work, you need to contact your printer manufacturer for repair/replacement. Don't try opening your printer, it may void your warranty.

Pc won't power ( turn on)

The green light is most likely your lan card/port. If the cord/outlet are sparking when you plug it in, I would say try plugging something else into that socket, if you get the same spark, I'd call an electrician. Also try plugging the pc into a different outlet. As far as the computer, if its not the outlet then it is the power supply, your motherboard may be fried in the process but if this isn't an issue with that outlet, then you should take it in to a shop.

My tv dose not turn on

I too have the same problem. We've had the ilo27 for almost 2 years and it suddenly decided to not turn on anymore. Red light-itus.
I did find a little trick if you are not so mechanical like me and don't want to risk opening the back. I know this isn't a cure, but you CAN get around this by simply pulling the plug from the wall and plugging it back in. It comes on with remote or manually every time!!!
A little inconvenient, but a way around it temporarily!
