Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Start voltage section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

You have a back light issue. Sometimes it's cheaper to get another one. Tcon board failure most likely. If you can find a rv repair or electronics repair they might do the work but as you got 5 years from it. Most TV sets fail in less time than that.

Sony blinking codes

If i remember correctly ten blinks means a high voltage error.
The only thing you could try is unplugging the power cord then plug it back in and try turning on the tv. If it still won't turn on try unplugging the power cord for five hours or longer and try again. If it still won't turn on it would be best to find a local repair shop that works on sony tv's and have them repair it for you.

Tv won't turn on. It turned off after a few minutes and won't turn back on. We opened it up and replaced the fuse.Didn't change anything. A friend said that it just seems to not be getting any...

does the power light flash three times slowly then stay off? If so chances are its just the CP150, cp120 and CP114 capacitors. There is the RCA repair kit by that same name available from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the capacitors and the CD with repair instructions

Tv won turn on

This could be caused by a bad HV block. I would not take on replacing unless you know your way around HV circuits on Projection TV's. I would call a repair facility to give you a estimate to repair.
