IF you go to Appliance Parts Depot and just put your brand along with your model number in the spaces provided then you should be able to order the parts you need your self. That away you can have them shipped to your house and not have to pay all the services fees that companies try to charge you for when they are going to do the same thing. Hope what info that i have gave to you is useful. If not you can email me at [email protected]
If you have the wire metal shelf model, there is a wrap around cooling plate (back and two sides) at the top of the inside. The frost that forms on this while it is running melts off after the compressor stops and the water runs down, into the drip channel, and out the drain hole at the center of the channel on the back wall. Clean out that hole so the water will flow out instead of down the walls to the bottom of your refrig.
If you have the glass shelf model, you have to remove the metal cover at the bottom back of the refrig and clean out the defrost drain hole located there.
The shelf frame is cracked . It can be purchased if the part is still available from LG . I wouldn't hold out hope though because LG is notorious for discontinuing parts after 3 years. Find a parts supplier who has contact with LG parts to see if it's still available . I was able to order one for my customer back in the spring.
cold, damp air, condensates on warm shiny surfaces(bathroom mirror),try putting kitchen towel under the crisper...(why they put crispers on bottom of fridge instead of on top of the cooling coils at the top of the fridge ???)
http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Maytag/54436.gif Maybe this diagram will help you. www.partselect.com I just replaced the Crisper Shelf Frame. I received it very quickly. I am now looking for some sort of support for the whole shelf, because it still seems to be sagging. I may have to invent something. If anyone out there has a solution, please post it.
