Unplug it and wash it with alcohol to remove the gum of the Koolaid.
Just wash it and wash it to keep away the gum

I have a Sanyo Vizon DP42647 that was given to me. Everything seems to work great except it looks like red Kool-Aid was poured on the screen. Can it be cleaned or just pitch it

I think it is more than a Kool-Aid stain. likely it was some kind of heat applied to the screen causing physical damage. How does it appear when the screen is white?

My daughters's calculator got wet when something spilled in her book bag. We took out the batteries and let it dry out. Later we put in new batteries and it works but is extremely slow and I have to press...

If water was spilled in it, the batteries should have been removed immediately, if you could remove the circuit board from the casing, dry it off and place it under a lamp for a few hours it should have been perfectly fine. If a soft drink, sugar base or other substance was spilled in it; the board would need to be cleaned, a small amount of soap and water can work, use a cotton swab, only clean the affected area of the spill, make sure to rinse all the soap off, dry with towel, then place under a lamp to get all the moisture out. Also make sure you clean the bottom side of the buttons that contact the circuit board. If it doesn't work then you may have to buy another unit.

Usually when you have a traction control problem and the engine light on sounds more like a sensor issue. If you have just had the brakes replaced maybe they messed up the abs sensor which is in the wheel well area.....which could have the effect.

Spilled water on it, now it wont turn on

Removed battery first. You should disassemble it to clean and wipe it dry. From bottom to top. Under its keyboard. Don't power it on until you are sure no water remains.

Kool-aid was spilled on Digital camera

Hi Becky,

The sugary content of Kool-Aid is not real camera friendly. It would appear a short has already been created internally. The tightly packed components of the camera are very difficult to clean effectively.
