I have a top load fridgidaire washer model fwsc445rfs0. During the wash cycle it makes a high pitched scraping noise.... Struggles also while it winds down before rinse. Bearing maybe?

Sounds like the water seal is damaged and the leaking water has damaged the top bearing which is just below the water seal. You will need to have the hub & seal kit replaced.

Hello.
The high pitched sound is a definite sign that the water valve in use is failing. The squeal is from a restricted water flow through the valve because it is not opening all the way. You will need to choose cold or hot to narrow down which valve is bad and replace that one.
