Sorry. That model desktop computer did not ship with wireless capabilities. You can generally purchase a little wireless USB dongle online or at Best Buy, Walmart, etc. for around $20.
Your desktop tower/cpu tower has to be turned on to give those hardware power. If you can't turn on your computer then that means you have an internal problem with your motherboard etc. If everything else powers up except for the screen/monitor your video is dead. Find someone you know that has an extra monitor and hook it up to your tower, if it works then it's not your video but the monitor instead.
If the switch is not responding you can try using the software side to turn it back on. As long as you are on windows you can go to the Control Panel, click on "Network and Internet", "Network and sharing center", Then find "Change adapter settings" along the left menu. You should see your wireless card listed, and disabled, to enable it right click and chose "enable"
i have a median notebook to the wireless switch is above keyboard and is a sensor touch key it's marked with a an icon and is also the f7 key on my keyboard check your manual for a description or take a closer look at the keys
Purchase either a USB stick that adds wireless capability to your laptop/desktop, or purchase a PCI wireless adapter-card for your desktop, and install it.
Then, you can move the cable-modem much closer to the cable-outlet, and then connect the cable-modem to a newly-purchased wireless-router ($20 to $70) to receive/transmit over your in-home wireless network.
