If your Samsung Galaxy S5 is missing and you don't know where it is, and are worried that it might have gotten stolen or maybe it's just lost somewhere in the depths of your living space..
You can easily find your phone on any Google search browser like your computer if you are logged in with the same Gmail account that's on your phone..
There's a new function now that let's you just type:
"find my phone" in the search area and Google will look for your device. It may or may not tell you where it is. If it does, the location will be within a 17 ft radius shown in Google maps style. If not, Google will give you options to troubleshoot that.
Plus, if it is nearby, you can Click on "ring" and Google will prompt your phone to ring at the highest volume. This should let you know if its in your area.. if you know someone who took your phone that is near you.. or if maybe you did lose it or it got stolen.. or maybe where you last dropped it.
Note: the phone does not have to have GPS on to ring the phone. GPS needs to be already activated on the phone for Google to find it on Google Maps though. Android Device Manager an alternative way to find the phone, also needs GPS to already be activated on the phone to communicate with it.
Type Find My Phone Into Google to Locate Your Android Device
