Inside the drain pump. You can get to it by removing the spin bowl. Remove the 2 screws holding the pump cover & lift the cover off to expose the flapper valve.

How do I stop water running into pan after toilet has been flushed &refilled.

If there is water still running into the toilet bowl, there is a problem with your flapper or flush valve. The most common problem, and least expensive to fix, is the flapper has gone bad and is allowing water to escape past it. Replace the flapper and the water should stop running. If not, it is possible the flush valve or one of the seals holding it to the tank has gone bad and needs replaced. Try replacing the whole flush valve. They come in a kit that includes the valve, flapper, and seals.

Fuel tank flapper valve broke

THe flapper valve will be part of the filler housing and it will require the replacing of that end of the filler tube. Possible get a 2nd hand one fromk the wreckers THe flapper will be on the bottom of the tank and I cannot see any connection to the engine light which would have come on immediately if there was a connection. Run fault codes to determine which sensor./ servo put the light on

Flapper valve closes too quickly

Fill the breather hole (1/8" hole) inside the flapper. This is designed to let air out so the flapper will sink. Now it floats longer letting in more water. 25%percent more in my case.

HOW DO YOU ADJUST THE FLUIDMASTER 540 EVERY TIME THE HANDLE IS RELEASED THE FLAPPER CLOSES IMEDIATELY ONLY ALLOWING A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER TO THE BOWL

Hi ront922...
Your problem is not the fluidmaster 540, the problem is the flapper valve.
Replace your flapper valve because it is malfunctioning, it is different from you fill valve and only connected to the fill valve.

The water does not shut off when the toilet tank is full. Pulling up on the float does not shut it off

thimoty-

I suspect something is obstructing the rubber flapper valve or the valve itself may be damaged. Shut off the water, remove the chain to the flapper and disconnect the flapper itself. Inspect it for damage and check the valve seat as well. Clean both. If the flapper is damaged, take the flapper to your local hardware store and match it with a replacement.

Hope this helps.

My toilet keeps running. I tried to adjust the float with a phillips but that did not work. There is slight leaking into the chamber over the top.

If there is a continual leak in to the toilet bowl you will likely need to replace the flush valve or the toilet flapper.

As a first step try try cleaning the sealing surface of the flush valve to se if the flapper will seat and make a seal.

If this does not work and the flapper is visibly detioriated and breaking down shut off the water supply, remove the toilet flapper and visit your local plumbing supply store to purchase a suitable replacement. Install the new flapper, turn on water supply.

These illustrated instruictions may also assist:

Although less likely, if the sealing surface of the flush valve is damaged or detioriated proceed with replacement of the flush valve. Again turn off water supply and follow the instructions set out here:

http://www.danco.com/HowTo/How-To-Replace-a-Flush-Valve

If there is not a leak in to the toilet bowl and the water flow does not shut off completely, then water is flowing through the fill valve and the overflow pipe and you may need to adjust the float and float rod to allow clsoure of the fill valve. See here:

I have installed a Fluidmaster 403 G fill valve, flapper and tank lever to the water tank in my toilet. The tank fills OK but after several minutes the water in the tank has drained out I can not see...

if no leaks in tank. push down on flapper when it fills up. if water stops draining then it is the seal under flapper that is bad. you can lift up flapper and put patrolium jelly on bottom of flapper. this may just seal it. or it needs a certain type of flapper.

Replace flapper valve in ultramax

Your Toto has the "G-Max" flush valve system. The Korky/Lavelle folks have a carded replacement flapper #2021BP for it. It is red in color and the only generic flapper that will work on your toilet. While it may look the same, do not confuse it with the blue flapper #2022BP. Known as the PowerMax flapper, the blue color is to distinguish between the two and the flappers are totally toilet specific. Let your fingers do the walking and locate a hardware store near you that carries the Korky/Lavelle brand or it can be ordered online from several places using the part number for your search word.
If the fill valve ever stops filling correctly, the Lavelle "Quiet Fill", #528BP, is what Toto uses in most of their toilets.

Water leaks into the bowl through flapper. replaced flapper and it still leaks.

THE THING THAT THE FLAPPER SITS ON IS CALLED A DOUGLAS VALVE. EITHER SAND AROUND THE RIM OF THE VALVE WITH FINE SANDPAPER. UR TRYING TO REMOVE ANY IRREGULARITIES ON THE RIM OF THE VALVE. IF THAT FAILS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, TIME TO REPLACE THE VALVE.
