Are your speakers shorting? Try running it with no speakers, see if it does the same. If it still does the same, like I've posted 3 times now, There is something shorting inside, or something finished. The system locks to PROTECT itself from short damage. Make it repaired if you can't do it yourself. (CAREFUL: If you open it yourself, this system's amplification system contains high voltage, it can shock you really bad if you touch something bad, even if unplugged!) Or buy a new one, like I did, new brand, new model, This jvc one has done it's time.

US Nintendo DS-Lite with converter problems in South Africa

Hi,

It should work straight out with a step down transformer. That is of course if the mains supply in South Africa is 240 240 and the unit being American is 110.

This is of course not unless it was initially tried without a transformer or stepdown converter which would mean that the charger/adapter has been fried and therefore damaged.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

What is the Zip code for South Africa

There is not a United States Zip code for South Africa.

South Africa has its own system of zip codes, which you can find using http://www.google.com , but I assume you are asking for entry into a form on an internet web site that insists on a United States Zip code. That would require the web site to allow you to enter a random 5 digit number.

Zip code for south africa

South Africa - Country code = +27
ZIP
codes are a system of postal codes used by the United States Postal Service (USPS) since 1963. The term ZIP, an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan, was chosen to suggest that the mail travels more efficiently, and therefore more quickly (zipping along), when senders use the code in the postal address.
To call South Africa from the U.S., just follow these dialing instructions: First dial 011, the U.S. exit code. Next dial 27, the country code for South Africa. Then dial the 2-digit area code (see sample calling code list below) followed by the 7-digit phone number.
South Africa Telephone Code 27. South Africa telephone code 27 is used to make international calls from South Africa. You may also see 27 referred to as the South Africa country phone code, or South Africa international calling code.

I just had a search out of curiosity, and I cannot find one. just try calling any old repair guy, it's always possible they have hoarded some parts from F+P machines or know where to look.
