Hi there
These caps can be very stubborn to remove, the 'o' ring seal can almost lock it into place.
There are 2 things you can try
Switch off and unplug the fridge
Switch off the water supply and open the dispense valve
1. Use a hair drier to warm the cap, be careful as this can get very hot, you may choose to use gloves if it seems very hot, be careful not to overheat as this can distort the cap. Then twist anticlockwise and pull to remove the filter cap.
2. Put a shallow tray on the floor below the filter and cap, carefully and slowly pour hot (not boiling) water over the can then ,wearing gloves, twist anticlockwise then pull to remove the cap.
You may need to persevere if the filter has not been changed before.
Having changed the filter then plug in the unit and switch on the power and water and draw off water from the dispense valve in 5 second burst for about 2 mins to remove air from the filter and ensure that
clean water is right through the fridge
Hope this helps
