The H4 code indicates the fuser may have blown the thermistor. It also could be a false error code. Try this series to clear the error and if it returns, then you'll know for sure the fuser is the culprit.
To reset press the following buttons:
When your copier voltage is abnormal then heater lamp is not on properly.So indicate H4.When H4 signal is blinking you must reset this code or error.

An H4 code denotes a low temperature or temperature sensor failure problem with the fuser (the device that provides heat and pressure to bond the toner to paper). There may be a peice of paper or part of a peice jammed up inside the fuser that's blocking the sensor, or the fuser is defective and needs to be replaced.
seems like heat roller problem.
enter code C, exposer light buttom, C and exposer light buttom , then all the indicator in the machine goes off. then enter 14 and press print buttom. Now your machine must work. If not Pls refer to technician.
H4 indicates a heating problem in the fuser. The roller never reached a specific temp. Make sure the fuser is free of any left over paper pieces (maybe from a paper jam). Check to make sure its clean.
Try reseting the the error in service mode.
To enter the test command mode, press the keys as
follows one after the other :
[#] key [*] key [C] key [*] key then enter 14 and press start/copy key. this clear error counter. make sure to restart copier afterwards.
An H4 error code indicates trouble in the fusing section - a certain temperature has not been reached within a specified time. It could mean a dirty/bad thermistor or dirty/bad thermostat (both inside the fuser unit. Make sure both of these are clean and there is not debris/paper stuck inside the unit. You can try resetting the code by : Get into SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "#" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then enter 14 and the start key - confirm if requested then make sure the copier restarts. The H$ is not a generic toshiba copier error. It usually associated with the smaller desktop copiers only. The H4-00 indicates a temperature problem in the fusing unit. It could be one or more of the following items : thermostat or thermistor or heater lamp or the control board.
You could try taking the fuser unit apart and cleaning it. Try resetting the error in service mode. make sure you are in copy mode.
press the "C" key then the "auto/text/photo" key then the "C" key then the "auto/text/photo" key again. enter "14" then "start" - this will reset the fuser error. IF there is something wrong with the fuser the error will come back again.
Then its time to call you local service center.
