SOURCE: Nintendo Wii Cars game won't let us add a second player

Another person on this site solved our problem, and THANK YOU! Here's how to do it:

*Remove the back of the 2nd remote- if you've got the rechargeable battery pack, replace it with two "AA" batteries.

*Open the little door on the front of the console and press the red button for about three seconds

*On the back of the remote, inside the battery compartment, press the red button for about three seconds.

*Press the "A" button on the second remote

*You will need to do this for each remote you'd like to add, but it will unlock the "Multiplayer/VS mode and will not need to be 'refreshed'- just use the power button and/or the "A" button on the remote you want to play.

If you want to use all of the tracks in both "Piston Cup" and "Road Courses" so that your racers can do more than one or two things, Do this:

*Go to the main menue and choose OPTIONS
*Enter this code:
You'll need to use the + shaped button to do this. You'll can use this for one or multi-player modes but will probably have to do it every time you start up and you'll need to do it separately for each mode. This cheat code is good for single player as well.
For all cheat codes for "Cars" (or any game) go to this URL:

That site, along with, have opened our whole game. Thank you all. HAPPY RACIN'!

Cannot access options on the left hand side of the start screen.

Did she put the DVD in backwards? A normal DVD movie should not affect the Wii system in any way, regardless. If it's still under warrenty, I recommend you back up your save games and Miis, then ship if off to Nintendo using their Repair Order request.
