Put a plug in the earphone port and wiggle it . Could be the little gadget inside is stuck. I had a tv that did that and ended up disconnecting the ear plug port.
The earphone jack may be damaged. This takes the audio from the set and provides either a path to the speaker or when plugged in to the earphones. Try the earphones - if they work, the jack may be at fault. If the remote has muted the sound, turning the TV off then back on should reset the mute.
Plug your headset to theearphone
jack (if installed) of the TV.
If you canhearthe sound there, the fault may due to
open(defective)internal
speakersor the earphone jackitself. Faulty internal speaker
may replaced withnew setsto back your sound to normal again. If
the earphone jack was faulty, you maysprayit first with electricalcontact cleanerwhileinserting and pullingthe headset plug into it for one
minute tocleanthe contact. If nothing happens, this
jack need to replaced with new one.
If you can't hear the sound after inserting your headset, this is
an indication that theaudio
circuitrywas gone bad. The
most common caused of this trouble was the faultysound IC(mounted in heatsink).
This is the oneconvertsthe audio signal to sound and feed to
your speaker's. I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to check
this parts.
If there is no audio output from your tv, either your TVs speaker or its audio output IC has damaged. You just check it with an earphone/headphone, if there is an earphone or headphone socket in front panel of your TV. If there is sound from the headphone/earphone, and not from the speaker, means the speaker has damaged. You have to replace it with same type and number. Just check your set's audio out socket, if any provided, connet it to any external audio sourse, like amplifier or so, and check whether there is sound output from it. If not, your Tv/combos' sound processing IC inside has some trouble.
most common fault is related to sound output IC or speaker itself. If speaker is found OK, go to the sound output section. This section can be easly located as speaker wire goes to that section, and follow it. Before replacing the IC, check its leads for any loose or bad soldering. i advice you to resolder all the terminals of that IC, by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge loose contacts between them. If this does not helps, replace the IC with an identical type and number. OK.
First you check the speaker of your Daewoo Tv. To check the whether the speaker is good or damaged, place your year very close to the speaker side of your TV, and switch the TV by its front panel power switch, not by the remote control. If you can hear a "Thumb" sound from the speaker, as the TV is switched on, the speaker is good and you have to to further. If not speaker has got damaged and have to be replaced.
If your TV is provided with an earphone or headphone socket at its fron panel, insert a earphone or headphone pin into it and listen whether there is sound coming from it or not. If ther comes the sound, it doesnot comes to the speaker, means that the headphone or earphone socket is faulty. Replacing it will solve the problem.
If there is AV OUT from your TV, connect it to an amplifier or so to get the sound. If there is sound and no output from speaker, means the Audio Output IC inside your TV is faulty.
Just locate the audio output Ic, and replace it with same type and number. Audio Output IC can be easly located ans speaker wire goes to that section, and follow the speaker wire. locate it. If you need any more assistance, feel free to contact me through Fixya. OK.

You may have to enter TV menu and see if you have a AUDIO setup option, some TV`s you have to enable TV AUDIO OUTPUT, this cancels the built in tv speakers and engages the AUDIO OUTPUT jacks on the TV
