i take my center console off all the time and the wires on the back of the lighter come off real easy, the black one i believe is the light bulb so you need to turn it to pull it out, then when you go to put it back, line the nobs up then turn it when its back in.
Hi, Behind the kick plate you will find a little electrical box... usually on the right front corner under the dishwasher...run a 15 amp. 120v circuit to the box, then just hook the ground to the green screw, the white wire to the white wire and the black to the black...that's all there is too it...
The little black box and different colored wires lead me to think this is a universal Oxygen Sensor (O2 Sensor) that has become detached. If you can find the other end--strip the wire and use a but connector with electrical tape--should solve the problem.
Without the O2 sensor the vehicle does not know how much gas and air to give to the engine (won't start).
Note: this instruction will apply if you are in North America. White wire goes to the silver colored screw; Black wire goes to the brass colored screw; Green wire (bare wire) goes to the green colored screw. If you are using a metal box, you must have a ground wire attached to the bottom of the box that attaches to the ground wire that comes into the box as well as have it connected to all devices in the box (switch and/or outlet). This is best accomplished with a pig tail connected with a wire nut, i.e.: ground comes into the box, make two or more shorter wires to connect one each to the box and each device in the box.
Said differently, looking at the face of the outlet, with the ground opening at the bottom ... the white wire attaches to the wide slot or the slot on the left (silver screw), the black wire (narrow slot) attaches to the brass screw on the right and the green will be at the top or bottom of the device, normally. I think there is more to your question but that is the answer to the question I see.
If there is a switch on the top of a outlet that looks like a outlet, you can control the outlet with the switch or you can control something else with the switch. If there are two switches that look like a outlet ... normally you will power the switch with a common black wire and the switch legs will be independently connected to the other side ... the white wires will be all connected together. If there is a indicator light in the switch, you will need a white wire attached to that silver screw that powers the light.
There should be a wiring diagram in or printed on the box that your switch came in though in my experience they are so small as to not be much help.
If you have a switch that you want to control an adjacent outlet with ... p;owre into the switch (black wire). Make a jumper from the other switch terminal to the brass colored screw on outlet. The whire wire will go to the white or silver screw on the outlet. This arrangement will allow you to turn the outlet on or off at your will.

the black wire is the HOT wire ... it should be connected to 120 volts AC .. the white wire should be connected to the neutral/return wire (also white) ... the incoming AC line shoiuld also include a bare ground wire .. that should be attached to a green grounding screw ... if your machine is already hooked up then there should not be any wires hanging down not connected .. you may be able to see the incoming wire but it should be covered by the dishwasher panels .. all connnections should be made inside a metal box that should be provided under the machine and there should be a strain relief fitting that keeps the wire from pulling out of the box .. ..
The circuit breaks the ground to work. Both wires go to both signals, the black have two different connections to get back to the signal relay 9different paths). Take your old wires and follow back to see how the were run before.
with Steering lock on headstock and correct tank using the plug in black connector Bosch ignition - she looks great and pulls like a train....
My problem is that I am entered into an Enduro in France (I am in England) on the 14th October and the bike must have working lights.....It has a headlight and Tail light but no wiring connecting them. There are several spare wires taped up under the tank I am quite happy to carry out the wiring I just need to know the colours to use...and how to check them I have a multimeter available.
It has a horn attached and I have bought a high/low /horn switch , as well as a rear brake light switch...,I have written this motoplat instruction quite a while back:

Right at the bottom is the color coding for the lightning wires.,,,
