Do they beep three times, pause then beep three times again? if so, they are going into alarm. since they all ring together, the only way to tell which one is causing the problem is to look for one where the leds are different than the others. If your detectors are more than 10 years old, replace them all as required by the national fire code (NFPA72). If they are only doing single chirps, that is usually an indication of a low battery...perhaps the breaker for the circuit has tripped causing them to run on battery only. good luck

My firex smoke and carbon monoxide alarm 7000 keeps beeping twice every 30 seconds. What does that mean?

Carbon monoxide alarms have a fixed life span. When it is time to replace them they start beeping. This is a safety feature because the sensor loses sensitivity as it ages and it may not go off when it is supposed to.

Installed fresh battery in my Kidde smoke detector Model i12060A and after about 9 hours it started to beep . Disconnected it from power source and removed battery to silence it. Please advise how to

Two things I would suggest: 1. make certain the battery you are using is good; consider using 9V lithium instead of alkaline as they will likely last much longer and perform better 2. ensure you are following all of the instructions for battery replacement correctly; many smoke alarms and detectors have labels on the back with replacement instructions that specify leaving the old battery out for a minimum length of time, anywhere from about 10 to 60 sec; failure to follow this will often result in erroneous low battery indications. Of course, if the unit is over 10 years old, it must be replaced per NFPA72, the national fire code.

How old is it? It may be telling you that it's no longer reliable and must be replaced.

We can't find the battery. Seems its electric wired. how do we stop it from beeping.

the top of the unit there is a slide right by the center button..there is a 9v backup battery in there and that is why it is beeping...it is telling you the battery is going bad

How do i program a keychain and the smoke dector

to program any new sensors first you must access the installer menu by opening the front cover and using the red buttons typing in the installers code,(4321) is the default code. once that is done press the add button, then the sensor/remote button, then trip sensor(keyfob by pressing both the lock and unlock buttons together until the system beeps) or (removing the smoke detector from the base until it beeps). Once the sensor has been learned it will say keychain remote, press the sensor/remote button repeatedly until it says the correct location, then press done. then enter group code 01 for the keyfob and 26 for the smoke detector. then done.
