Kindle will not shut off-goes to shut off or cancel but wont move. doesnt charge well-doesnt always hold charge

Patricia, Using the power switch, you can forcibly reset your Kindle device. This reset will shut down the Kindle without accessing the shutdown command from within the Kindle's operating system, a particularly useful tool when dealing with a frozen Kindle. To initiate a hard shutdown, Kindle disconnect from its charger, slide and hold the power switch for about 20 seconds. This will force the Kindle to shut down, now it can be restarted normally.
Check links below for charging problems.

My Samsung galaxy 3 tablet won't charge or turn on.it was working just fine and now it isn't.please help

Try pressing and holding the power button for at least 10 seconds. This is a soft restart that can sometimes get the Tab to start. If that does not work, try holding it for 30 or even 60 seconds just to be certain. Try another micro USB cable if you have one. Cables can go bad suddenly. Try another charger. Even a standard computer USB port will charge even a higher power device like a Tab. The charge indicator might not come on, but it is trickle charging. It just takes longer. If you use a computer port or other low power source I would leave it plugged in at least 6 hours or so before trying to turn it on. If none of these work contact Samsung. Their support site has some troubleshooting capabilities and online support chat and even telephone support. It could be a little more convenient; they kind of force you to go through the steps, but I have always considered there support pretty decent. If you have not done so already, it is a good idea to set up an account and register your device on the Samsung website. Once you do there will be links for Ask a Question, Downloads, etc. You will need your exact model number which will be something like SM-T3100GNYXAR. I believe this is printed on the box label. If that is not handy it is on the back of the device in letters so tiny you will need good light and a magnifying glass!

My asus tablet wont turn on

The battery connector in the Nexus 7 (2012 model) is notoriously problematic. Sometimes dropping the device can cause issues that prevent the Nexus 7 from charging altogether. A hard reset may not work. Fortunately, it is quite easy to fix.

However this will void your warranty.

Pop the back of the Nexus 7 case open by pushing a credit card or guitar pick or small screwdriver under the edge of the black plastic case. Start from the top and gently pry the case open, working your way around. The back of the case will come off quite easily. The battery occupies the bulk of the left-hand side of the unit, and a group of six wires come out of the top of the battery to a connector on the circuit board. Gently push the plug out of the socket connector, wait 15 seconds, and push it back in. Snap the case back on and plug in your charger. You should now see the battery charge image appear.34689589-4d42-4ff6-a950-042de234083f.png

My Nexus asus will not turn on even though it be charged over night Had it since Nov 25 2012

You could try to do a hard reset. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button simultaneously for 10-30 seconds and see if the device will then turn on.

Hope that helps!

Possibly a new battery, or charger. But it also could be that inside your device could have detached/unsoldered from the connection slot. If you know how to use soldering with electronics then that may be able to get it working if that is the case. I would not recommend this approach, the manufacturer or dealer may have to get it taken cafe of for you.

AC adapter/charger is attached, but the battery will not charge. it doesnt even show that the battery is there

Ifthe laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
