Hi There my SAM4S is showing PEA on the screen. All the buttons are locked also. I have unplugged and it doesn't change anything? Can you help?

I have a SAM4s register. When it read "PEA" all I did was pull the receipt paper. It seemed to be jammed. Worked for me.

I am going to put pea-stone all over a sloping hill .. How do I stop the pebbles from all landing on the bottom in a pile?

That depends entirely on the pea gravel and the slope of the hill. Read the Wikipedia entry on "angle of repose". Pea gravel typically has an angle of repose of 45 degrees or less. If you hill is less steep than 40 degrees you will probably be OK. Otherwise, you would need some retaining walls to reduce this angle. (Probably not what you had in mind.) Best thing to do is go to the source of your pea gravel and measure the slope of the pile it's in. This will be the maximum angle of repose for that material. Compare this to your hillside. If the hillside is at least 5 degrees less steep, you should be OK, unless you will expect foot or vehicle traffic on the pea gravel - in which case you would need at least a 15 degree margin.
