SOURCE: Power red llight is on, but the motor/blades won't go

Well, now I feel totally foolish. The handle on the bowl must be toward the front of the bowl, not the rear otherwise the operating post won't engage.

I just had the same problem! I gently tapped the the bottom of the handle with a hammer in a clockwise direction. It finally unlocked and is now working fine. Good luck!

Generally they twist off, but on the DLC-2, if the lid won't come off, a replacement bowl and lid is around $18.00

SOURCE: I Cuisanart mini prep and removed the bowl, lid,

Make sure the tab on the lid is making contact with the "tower" in the back and that the work bowl is locked properly into place so that the plastic tabs show on each side toward the bottom of the work bowl.

SOURCE: I have a cuisinart pro classic food processor, and

We fixed the same problem with the same Cuisinart DLC-10S, the problem was the white plastic switch on the work bowl - - it was placed above a short clear plastic partition which blocked the switch from pushing the plunger enough to start the motor. It came out of the box that way, bad quality control. I pushed the white plastic switch down over the partition and now the machine works, and the switch can push the pole down the amount needed to start the motor. Very sloppy packaging by Cuisinart. Now the appliance is working, so far. My wife still likes Cuisinart but I'm suggesting she look at other brands next time. The owners manual for this appliance is C*R*A*P and next to useless.

New magimix won't start

It is most likely the way the bowl and lid are set.

Facing the machine:
the bowl locks in, with the handle to your right directly above the switches. The lid has a double tab...see underside of the top of the lid. Place the lid on tightly with both tabs locked into bowls handle. It really clicks in.

The cusinart pro classic food processor is not working ?

Try this procedure:-- It usually goes something like this, with minor variations depending on model number:1.Remove the work bowl completely from the base
2.Plug the food processor in and turn it on
3.Use a pen to depress the dark grey/black button on the base – if it spins, proceed
4.Put the work bowl on the base with the handle facing the front of the food processor – slide the work bowl until it locks - the white tabs show in the openings on the bottom of either side of the work bowl
5.Place the lid on the work bowl with the tab slightly left of the center of the work bowl handle – slide the lid counterclockwise until it won’t slide any more
6.Place the pusher sleeve in the feeder tube of the lid with the lock facing the front of the food processor (may vary depending on model)
7.Slide the lock to the right into the locked position
The food processor should now work.
This will help.Good luck.

The Cuisinart 7 cup food processor will not start?

Check out this options Remove the work bowl completely. Turn the machine on and use a pen to depress the dark grey or black button on the base of the Food processor. If the motor doesn't spin, it needs repair. If there is spinning:Make sure the handle of the bowl is facing the front of the food processor. Place the lid tab just to the left of the handle and slide it toward the handle until it won't turn anymore. Remove the pusher sleeve from the lid and reinsert it with the lock facing the front of the food processor. Slide the lock into the locked position. If it still doesn't work, replace the third piece on the work bowl - the one piece that you haven't replaced. It will then work. This will help. good luck.

Cuisinart Food Processor (14 cup capacity) won't turn off. Plug in and it is on.

For cuisinart food processors that won't shut off: with bowl off - not attached - hold OFF button down while plugging in. With a screwdriver or other implement, press the button that gets depressed on motor base when bowl is attached and snapped into place ( small flat rectangular piece that clicks the bowl into place. While still pressing OFF button, press this a few times times, unplug then release the OFF button. I tried several suggested combinations of button pushing and unplugging, and this seems to have fixed it!

My food processor turn on button won't work.

Cuisinart Food Processors – Motor Test

First, do a motor test by removing the work bowl completely and using a pen to press in the grey button on top of the base (with the food processor turned on of course), toward the back. If the processor spins, the motor is still good. At that point, I would inspect the work bowl pieces, lid, pusher assembly, etc for cracks/damage. If all appears well, insert ALL the pieces back into place and try again. If even one piece is out of place, the processor will not spin.

If it no longer spins, the motor has a problem.

Good luck!

Appears to be locked but won't turn on

Instructions only apply to Cuisinart DLC-2011 series:

Remove the work bowl and all other parts completely from base.
Plug the base in, and turn it on.
Use a pen to press in the dark grey or black button on top of the base.
If you hear a spinning or other noise, the motor is still good.

Now that you have verified that the motor is good:
Put each work bowl piece on one at a time - if you don't out it on one at a time, it will not lock in properly.
Put work bowl on with work bowl handle facing front, make sure bowl locks.
Put lid on with lid lined up with work bowl handle.
Put pusher sleeve into lid's feed tube, with metal element facing the front of the food processor.

You should now be good to go.
