Can a dead zyxel nbg-417 be repaired - Zyxel NBG-417N Wireless Router

1. Connect your internet to a computer
2. Go to internet browser -> type in http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar
3. You should see the router login page. Type in default user name and password
username : admin
password: 1234
4. Follow a setup wizard to put your device name and wifi password.

Follow the steps below to log into the web configurator.
1 Start your web browser.
2 Type "http://" and the IP address of the ZyXEL Device (for example, the default is
192.168.1.1) in the Location or Address field. Press [ENTER].
3 The login screen appears. Select admin in the User Name field to log in as an
administrator.
4 Enter the associated password. The default administrative login password is "1234".

Located on the first page is the defaultsAddress: 192.168.1.1user: adminpassword: 1234
If this still is not working I would recommend locating the reset button and holding it in for 15 seconds this will erase any previous config and restore the default above.

first of all rest the router wth help of reset button provided at back of the device, after this manullay config ur boardband setting .thn check

Have you connected your Zyxel to your cable/DSL modem? Is your access problem issue with Wireless computers? The first thing you must do with a new router is to set it up, using a CAT-5 cable connected to the router. Connect it to http://192.168.1.1 and proceed through the setup items, after logging in to the router. One of the more important items, Security, must be set up by choosing your network name (SSID) and security passwords --- I prefer using the WEP-PSK[TKIP] for its simplicity. You will need the passcode you choose whemn you try to access the router wirelessly, once this is set up. Not too much access unless this is done. Use this as a guide:
