Hi Virginia,

I've done some research on tubs with jets, and from what I've read I wouldn't put anything granular in the water.

The granules may damage your pump and also when the water stops some granules will be left in the pipes, where they will decompose and turn into.... well, I don't think it'll be nice.

My american standard jet tub will not turn on. The power is going to it. It clicks when you mash the button that is in the tub. It does nothing but click. The model # is PUWWSCAS12598R

if the motor just hummed then it is likely a bad motor. you will need to replace the pump at that point. Bathtub buttons like the one you have either works or they do not. there isn't any in between areas.

Jet tools only remove the wall fittings from the jet body. Most bathtub jets are removed by turning them counter clockwise.

I have a Whirlpool Cielo Tub that is leaking from a value that seems to draw air when the jets are turned on. The value seems to come off the air filter and is behind the tub in the crawl space. If the jets are on there is no water in the PVC going to the valve. If they are off the PVC and valve have the same water level as the tub. If the water is sloshed around it comes out of the value and into the crawl space. Does anyone know how to post a pic to this forum. I have the valve / intake that is the issue but the plumbing supply place had no clue.
