Question about Garmin nuvi 650 GPS Receiver

The unit turns on and off every 1 minute (while charging) is there a way to avoid it this restart?

If this is happening while driving, you could have a cradle going out. Try moving the plug at cradle slightly and if it indicates battery then charges, your cradle is defective. Cradles can be found cheap at www.gpsnstuff.com.

How can I get my Samsung Galaxy Tablet to turn on. The battery is fully charged.
There is usually a method such as holding the on button for a longer period of time. If it is easy to do the other thing that I've found with all sorts of "smart" devices which turn "not-so-smart" is to remove the battery for a minute or so, then put it back in. Many times the unit will turn on as soon as the battery is reinstalled and work correctly again after that. Last ditch effort, unless someone knows about the Galaxy, is a hard reset, there may be a reset button somewhere on the unit, I don't think the Galaxy has a reset button. If the unit still does not turn on it may need servicing.
1. Try the on button for 15 - 20 seconds if you know it is charged
2. Try charging for an hour or two then the 15-20 second hold on button, #1 above.
3. Removed battery (I'd measure the battery voltage while I have it out) wait ~1 - 2 minutes & reinstall the battery. If it doesn't turn on by itself try #1.
4. Nothing works start a service ticket with Samsung, URL:

1. If you have a spare cartridge, try installing it to the printer replacing the one that is currently installed. Restart the unit. Does the error still appear?
2. Did you just install a new replacement? If yes, make sure it is not faulty as it may result to the same error. Or, check the chip reader (the sensor coupled with the chip tag from the cartridge) inside the unit to see if there's any problem.
3. There's also a possibility that it is a cable problem. If you can borrow a compatible cable for your printer then it is good, otherwise you have to buy a new one. But before you get a new cable, try testing the other solutions first to avoid any unnecessary expense.
4. Turn the unit ON, press and hold Reset button for exactly 6 seconds (you don't need a timer for this - just kidding), then release. After this, you need to restart the printer by unplugging it from the power source for a minute before turning it back ON.
5. If nothing's really working, turn the printer OFF then ON followed by lifting the scanner lid. It may sound absurd but it's worth a try.
6. Blame the scanner lamp. This one's a little tricky and requires some technical skills as you have to remove the glass from the scanner and tweak the two white plastic rulers. You only need to do this if those rulers dropped out.

I have a holiday timer LW28080. Following instructions to the letter the unit did not go on at the set time. The manual works but not the timer. Does the time actually have to start on the first day...

Programming should start on the day you selected for Program 1 ON. So if Tues was selected, timer should start Tuesday.

Use paper clip, and push in Reset button for 2 seconds. Repeat. Always reset digital timers before programming to clear memory glitches.

Plug timer in for 10 minutes to charge battery.
Be sure to set current time with correct day, hour am-pm and minute.
Each ON program requires OFF program
Set program 1 ON and then set program 1 OFF.
Make sure selected day(s) of operation match for both ON and OFF settings.
Check am-pm conflicts in programming.
Avoid 12:00, to avoid am-pm confusion. Use 12:01 or 11:59
Avoid programming overlaps and conflicts that cause timer not to function as expected.

When programming is finished, press current time button to return to current time.
It appears timer is ready for programmed operation at this point.
Install Mi-MH battery that comes with timer.
Do not exceed watt rating.
This timer comes with 1 year limited warranty and can be expected to last 1 or 2 seasons, and probably quit season 3.

Battery will not charge
Follow these steps if the Kindle battery is not charging:
  1. Connect Kindle to a different outlet.
  2. Verify the charge light at the base of the Kindle is on.
  3. Restart Kindle by pressing Home > Menu > Settings > Menu and select "Restart." Is the charge light on? Contact Customer Service.
  4. Is the charge light off? AC adapter needs to be replaced.
  5. Contact customer service for in-warranty options.
Follow these steps if the Kindle Battery is not holding a charge:
  1. Turn wireless off and fully charge your Kindle.
  2. With wireless turned off, Kindle battery life should be:
    At least 7 days
  3. If battery lasts less than the time frame given above, contact customer service.

Nuvi 660 turns off after about 2 minutes of GPS operation even when battery is fully charged. Screen in not set to turn off in a specified time. The unit can be restarted only by pressing the on button...

My cell phone has been on the charger for over 8 hours and i have just recently purchased another battery and it still says low battery and to wait a few minutes and the phone will power on so what else...
Hi there,

This can be a problem on the battery terminal or the charging terminal of the unit. It could be the unit has not giving a proper charge or the unit has a problem when you try to charged a battery.

It is better to send the unit into the nearest service center to check the unit, and better not to charge on the for the moment it was not fix, to avoid any further damaged or burnt out on the unit.

My Simple Start will not charge. I follow the directions and it just sits there and beeps. How do I fix this?
Here is what the B & D website says.
"If the unit starts to beep continuously, let it beep for about 1 minute, then turn the unit off and unplug the charger from the unit. Allow the unit to sit a full minute and then repeat the charging process.
If you still experience difficulties with the unit beeping after about ten attempts to charge, we recommend bringing the unit back to the retailer for an exchange, or taking the unit to the nearest factory-owned service center for assistance. "
It didn't work for me though.

When turned on, lights come on, but will not blow...
First off, I dont think you caused this problem by vacuuming the unit. It is possible that you did not leave much time before restarts but you then said you tried leaving it off for 5 minutes which should be adequate enough. f you let the unit set for a couple of hours before a restart that should be enough time for the compressor to cool down to ambient temp. I would then try restarting the unit, if it works leave it on for a while and make sure it is producing enough cooling. If there is no change in the situation I would suggest that it would need to come back out of the housing and check that the compressor is receiving voltage to it. It is possible a start capacitor or relay is the cause of the problem. If it started first time I would suggest it is worth having it checked by a professional as it could be the charge or the starting devices. First off though let it completely cool down and try again. Hope this is of some help.

disassembly Was given a Garmin Nuvi 650. The clips that hold the ribbon cables were broken during screen replacement. I believe the logic board is OK accept for the clips. Can I just purchase the clips?
