I had the same problem. It was caused by 1 or more wires in the door that have cracked and split apart. I cut the bad sections out and reconnected the wires and it works now. The LG's are known to do this. LG said they would send all new wire harness but it would cost $200 to have a tech put it in. LG would not cover the labor.
If your LG dishwasher is connected to the drain (or disposal) directly and not through an Air Gap, your problem may be that the drain hose does not have a "high point" in the line and the water is being naturally siphoned from the dishwasher into the drain.
If the above is true, either install an air gap (see hardware store) or attach the drain hose high to the counter top (bottom) so there is a permanent high point.
