It's probably a shorted high voltage rectifier diode.

If all of your door switches check out, replace the magnatron, capacitor, and diodes.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Microwave OTR FMV145KS2 not heating

Chances are it's a defective high voltage rectifier diode or magnetron.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Here are some links you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:

http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/diode.html
(if it's not shorted or burned, it's probably okay)

http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/cap_test.html

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

You can download Frigidaire owner's manuals and installation instructions can be downloaded through the links here. where you can also locate a nearby authorized servicer if you choose.

The magnetron has a 10-year part warranty, but you would have to pay labor.

If nothing else, you can save about $75 by taking it to the shop yourself.

Good luck.

were you able to replace the magnetron? Did it fix your problem? I have the same issue, and so I wanted to find out from someone who possibly tried it firsthand!

OTR Samsung Microwave fan comes on with no reason. Any way to fix it?

Does this happen while you are cooking on the range burners under the control panel?? These type microwaves have a heat sensor built into them in the area of the control panel bottom. If the microwave control gets too hot from cooking on the stove below it the heat sensor will turn the fan on to keep the control panel from getting heat damage. The fan should go off after everything cools off.

Sharp carousal convection smart+easy does it have a fuse just died

First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.
use the VOM, God bless you

Hotpoint OTR Microwave - Carousel Motor Noise

You should be able to access the turntable motor if you remove the left side filter under the microwave. Disconnect the power, remove the left filter and look up inside that area, the motor may have a cover or plate over it, if so remove it, the motor will be held in with 2 screws (usually) and there will be 2 quick disconnect wires attached to it. If you cannot get to it that way you may have to remove the bottom of the microwave (underneath), should be only 3 to 5 screws holding it in place, the side to the wall will be hinged, once you pull the screws just let it hang or swing down away from you. Then follow the above directions. Make sure that you are getting the correct motor, there are two types, one is a square shaft (WB26X10037) and the other is a "D" shaped shaft (WB26X10038).

How do I fix a Jenn-Air JMC7000 that does not heat up items?

The noise is coming from the high-voltage transformer being overloaded by something shorting it out. Either the magnatron or the high-voltage capacitor and diode. Replace the capacitor and diode then if still not working, replace the magnatron. Its only affordable if you do it yourself - buy the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron"
Hope ya fix it!
