Where is the HDMI connection on my Sharp LC-46SB57? I installed X1 and cannot get picture. Sharp Input 1,2&3 are grayed out but Inputs 5Roku & 6blue ray work.

Does it work on other video inputs like the cable or auxiliary inputs?

Imput 1 air TV imput 2 cable .. Try seeing if it's set to change 3 or 4

You have to tell the TV which HDMI input to use. ie you should be able to press a button on your remote to do this. On my tv we can choose between 4 different HDMI inputs via the remote.

try to get an HDMI hub for your extension on the home theater

HDMI and USB both run off the 5 volt power inside the TV. It is possible the 5 volt power is down in the set. Shop repair time.
HDMI connectors are frequently broken by allowing the wires to hang at the back of the TV. Most USB connections can only be used for MPEG movies and pictures. Check your owner's manual.

Check to see if input 5 has a audio in source via RCA jacks. Many times manufactures will give you multi HDMI inputs but only one that has RCA jacks in case you are running a DVI/HDMI cable. If input 5 does not have those RCA jacks you will not have sound. I know this unit has multiple HDMI inputs. Look to see if any of the other HDMI inputs also have RCA jacks.

Digital inputs on Aquos TV's are "always on," usually the HDMI inputs and DVI inputs. As opposed to analog inputs 1, 2, or 3, are only activated once something is plugged in.
Try plugging in another HDMI sources into input4 or 5, if its still not working, the TV needs a new Main Board. Try calling Sharp 1-800-237-4277 and locating a local service center in your area.

It won't work as the DAv can only output to HDMI by bringing singal into the HDMI input.

why wouldn't you send it directly to the TV and Audio to the DAV? I sounds like you don't have an HD box anyway (otherwise why would you use an analogue S-video cable vs component or HDMI). Unless there is a distance issue then go to the TV.

The hdmi inputs on this unit go directly thru the main digital pcb. and the component inputs feed thru the av pcb then to the main pcb. If the composit hook up do not work and hdmi inputs do work the unit has a bad AV pcb.
