Is the lead edge of the paper that leave the draw have any dents indicating it is hitting anything? Is the machine under warranty? do any other trays work? bypass tray work? if you can use a different tray will eliminate parts of the machine. Can you rotate paper different orientation does it work? there might be a mylar (Clear plastic strip that acts as a guide some time they flip when a paper is pulled hard and in the wrong direction, always pull paper in the normal flow of the paper in the machine. use a business card to try a push the mylar back into its normal direction if possible, you could also have a bad sensor and acturator that the paper hits to inform the printer where the paper is in the paper path.

The paper is dented when removed, but more-so at the fold of pulling it out. Tried the bypass tray, still getting the jam error. Printer is not under warranty (already contacted lexmark chat help, refused to help without warranty). I don't see any plastic mylar, so maybe that is the issue? Thank you for the assistance! I will look into the sensor & acturator.

Did you look the jam code up in the operators manual? might try going to the Lexmark web site and look up your model mite have a updated firmware that will fix that problem, also are you using paper that is authorized to be used with that machine? look up the spec in the op manual or web site, check the weight of the paper the paper draw rollers may be dirty clean with a small amount of soap and water.

I looked up the code. It just states it as a paper jam, and to remove the tray and paper. I am using paper authorized for the machine. I tried standard copy paper, 3 different types of cardstock as well. I checked the rollers (removed the rubber wheels) and they are surprisingly clean. I think whatever the wheels feed into is the issue.

I own a canon MP210 printer. Recently a paper got jammed but I was able to get it out. Now, every time I try to print, it will only grab the paper but wont feed while printing and says "Paper Jam".

Some times when paper jams a printer it damages the sensors that continue the printing process. I suggest you revisit the area where the paper jam occurred and check for the tiniest particle still lingering between the rollers. Remove what rollers you can by hand and inspect the surfaces and alignment. Put them back in the order you removed them and try again to print.

Jam in duplex area

Its is trick..If its more then two pages print, printer grabs second page even first page in duplex unit., here its confusion. Check with simplex single print, see any paper mismatch error? or printer throwing paper in output bin after successful print?. No.. check fuser out sensor or paper out roller.
Print only two pages matter in duplex, check where paper struck? if paper our roller not grabbing paper back properly in time (slipping while grabbing back) gets jam error.
Always ensure that select proper paper size in printer.Other than this it may major issue, need technical knowledge..& possibilities are less to judge the exact problem..
Keep update us to resolve the issue.

Error paper jam

Hello Cassandra,
It sounds like you are having phantom paper jams. When the printer starts a print job and tries to pull a piece of paper but can't grab it the printer thinks there is a jam but there really is not. If the paper pickup rollers are worn down they are not able to grab the paper correctly to feed it into the printer which causes this type of error. The rollers are considered user installable and come in a kit with the rollers and the paper separation pad which keeps more than one paper from being pickup up at the same time. Installing the paper feed kit should clear up your paper feed problems. The paper feed kit is available here: http://www.ccl-la.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=342
I hope this helps.

Panasonic Fax Phone Can't send or Receive fax

there maybe a small paper jam in the machine that you are missing. if you are handy, unplug the fax machine and look around where the paper is fed into. if you see paper trapped anywhere, try pulling it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. the machine will not work right till the jam is cleared.
hope this helps.

Canon MP830 paper jam

Your "Best Solution" posted 10/01/07 needs just a little bit more. I followed the directions and saw the jammed paper but couldn't get hold of it. I then called Canon support and they told me that the green plastic can be pulled up and then the paper under it is accessible. I pulled up the green plastic and was able to grab the jammed paper and pull it out. He also told me that the solution could be found in the Canon knowledgebase with a color picture as well.
