I've changed MANY watch batteries but cannot figure out how to remove the CR2016 from a M892 Triathlon. I cannot remove the thin circular hold down piece from either of the two sides. Would appreciate some...

mcdevito75 here, The only thing I can think of is, if this hold down slides out of the way or if 1 or both sides of this clip have to be sqeezed together or away from the inside caseing with a very small screwdriver. I'd get a magnifier galss from a drugstore or diollar store and have a better look.

It could have 2 batteries! 1.5 volt for analog and lithium for digital! Take it to a reputable watch repair business and let them check! :-)

Setting time/date on Ironman Triathlon 8 lap

Press & hold set button the seconds will flash.

Press split/reset to set seconds to zero

Press mode to select hours

Press split reset to advance hour digits go through 12 hours to get to AM/PM

Press mode to select minutes

Press split reset to advance minutes

Keep repeatin the above steps to set month date day and 12/24 hour diplay

Press set when done.
