Why was my printer showing my print level to be 3/4 the way full for both the black & color, & then I went to print again and there are ? marks on my ink levels, & a error that says cartridge problem?

printers are calibrated to only measure ink levels for original cartridges ( Lexmark)
if you refill or use generic cartridges the machine will not read the levels and will send a ink level warning or will not print because it thinks the ink is out and will not work to protect the printer
Talk with a lexmark service center for proper diagnosis

Canon mx892 shows error code B200: Printer error has occurred. Unplug the power cord and contact the service center

The fault in Canon Printer Error Code B200 indicates a defective print head. A print head is a component that directly collects the ink onto the paper from the cartridges, which means it's one of the most critical parts of the printer.
Canon Printer Error Code B200, which can signify a hugely damaging system error, is one of the most feared.

Want to Correct the B200 Canon Printer Error Code?

1. Unplug and leave your printer disconnected for a minimum of 30 minutes.

2. Open your printer's door and you can move the print head so you can reach it.

3. Take off old ink.

Error code on my ix4000 reads 5C00

Canon has a decent trouble shooting guide for this model:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro...

Click on the Step-by-Step Troubleshooting link under Tech Support

Unfortunately it does not give any possible solutions for blinking lights.

The user guide on the other hand does.
You can download this under Downloads -> Product / Software Manuals

Here is a summary of what the flashing lights could mean:

Two flashes: Out of paper or paper feed error

Reload the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Three flashes: Paper jam

If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, reload the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

See Paper Jams

Six flashes: No print head installed

Install a print head.

Seven flashes: Print head is defective

Contact the Customer Care Center.

Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full

Ink used for cleaning is absorbed in the waste ink absorber placed in the printer. Eight flashes indicate that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so that you can continue printing.

Important
If this error occurs, replacement of the waste ink absorber and maintenance of the printer are required. Canon recommends to contact the Customer Care Center as soon as possible. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing will no longer be possible.

Nine flashes: Ink tank is not installed properly

Open the print head cover and press the button of the ink tank and reinstall the ink tank properly.

Ten flashes: Battery level is low

Charge the battery. For details on how to charge the battery, refer to the manual supplied with the battery.

Eleven flashes: A specified period of time has lapsed without receiving a response from the digital camera or digital video camcorder / The digital camera or digital video camcorder connected is not compatible with this printer

Disconnect the camera cable, press the printer's RESUME/CANCEL button and reconnect the cable.
If the error is still unresolved, there is a possibility that you are using a digital camera or digital video camcorder that is not supported by this printer. Use digital cameras or digital video camcorders that are compatible with this printer.

POWER lamp flashes alternate green and orange:

An error that requires contacting the Customer Care Center may have occurred.

Disconnect the printer cable from the printer, and then turn the printer off and unplug the printer from the power supply. Plug the printer back in and turn the printer back on after leaving it about 10 minutes.

If the problem remains, contact the Customer Care Center.

Hp 6310 Cartridge error

I contacted HP customer service and was given a solution that worked for this precise problem: "Using a clean, dry lint-free cloth (a coffee filter works well), wipe the cartridge contacts, from the top to the bottom. The contact area of the cartridge should be rubbed briskly to remove the waxy lubricant material from the gold contacts. The contacts inside the printer may also require cleaning. Using a clearn, dry, lint-free cloth, gently wipe the contacts, from the top to the bottom."

This worked for me. At least immediately. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Error message on printer

Hi
A few Trouble Shooting Tips:
You can try the following before buying a new one:

Unplug BOTH printer cables for at least 1 minute and it will reset to factory settings.

Also check the elec. contacts are not dirty... clean them with alchol and cotton wool and also clean contacts inside printer where they make contact.

If your printer has been left unused for some time? and the inks have just clogged up? you can easily revive them with our Magic Inkjet Flush print head cleaning kit

Good Luck

I've had this HP Photosmart C4250 All-in -One Printer Scanner Copier for 2-3 weeks. I was printing last night and the machine stopped and displayedd the error message 'Print cartridges miising or not...

The first part of trouble shooting this would be to first unplug the power from the device, wait about 30 seconds, then plug the device back in and power it on. If you still get this message remove the ink, power it off and back on and put the ink back in. If you still get the error then I would try new ink.
