Hello, got a problem with my motherboard GA-965GM-S2

In only 1 of about a million times can you look at a motherboard and tell if it has been fried by over-voltage --- unless it has been struck by lightning!

If it just shutdown, it maybe that it just died!!! The CPU could have been running a little hot for a while and it finally burned out, causing the machine to stop. Usually with a memory fault, the machine will blue-screen with a page fault error and then fail to restart. A CPU failure just shuts the machine down, boom!! You can try replacing the CPU with a like kind and with a better cooling fan, etc. and see if you can get some life back into it.

I had a PS101 hooked up to an older wireless router. It was working fine on my new Vista Machine. The router died and just installed a NETGEAR WGR614 Wireless Router 802.11g. Now it doesnt see the print...

This was more hastle than it was worth. So I bought a new print server (twice), neither worked either. Might be the router, but after spending 2 hours on the phone with INDIA, I said forget it and took it back, bought a parallel card and gonna hook it up with a cable!

I just changed the drive belt. Immediately following that, the motor is intermittent; it has worked a bit, but also cuts out for no apparent reason. Once it cuts out--happened twice--I cannot get it...

motors get burned out spots after many hours of playing eventually in time. it just so happens that when the motor stops, sometimes it stops in that dead spot, or may have more than one deadspot, which will require replacing the motor or better yet replace the whole turntable since everything will be new!

Machine won't energize

You need a new circuit board. Same exact thing happened to me. My husband purchased the board for about $150.00 but was told it was on backorder for 3 months, but it came in after about 1 month. You will have to remove the top part of the display panel from the rear...about 3 long screws. Everything unplugs after that. Put the new one in and reassemble everything, be careful not to pinch any wires when replacing the hood. If you have it repaired by a service dept., it will probably cost you around $400.

Problems after Power Management changes

Experience a similar problem with a FIC MB. I cleared CMOS then removed MB battery for 1 hour. Restarted the unit with just the video card and hard drive installed. After unit rebooted I added sound card, network card, etc.

Mesh Matrix 64 start up problem

First there is an on off switch on the back of your power supply. Switch that off. Take out the memory chips, then re-insert them. Turn power switch back on. With the case still open. Power it up. If it comes on. Look to see if the cpu fan is still running. If it is not turning replace the fan. If it runs you may have other problems, possibly a power supply, CPU overheating, and or switch problems. Now in other cases high end video adapters tend to overheat and causes system freeze ups and causes possible shut downs. I would still have it checked out professionally if the problem persists. Hope this helps
