I can't get to the hdtv menu to open up , the t.v. is in HDTV/AIR input when I hit menu on remote to open up HDTV menu it won't let me when I scroll over to HDTV section the menu dissappears

Use the input button to scroll through the various inputs tell you get to cable antenna...then select to auto scroll to find active channels, thats all that is to it

Upon first start you should be prompted. If not, you will find a series of buttons on the TV itself; power,channel up down, volume up/down, input and menu. Hit the menu button and the menu will pop up. Scroll up and down with channel button, select and controls are the volume. either that or you can get a Samsung phone that has an app built into it called watch on, which has a universal remote that works for virtually everything. Hi, here are the instructions for resetting your tv. on your remote press menu..then "option" hit "ok" on remote, then scroll down to "factory reset" hit "ok" on remote again, select "yes" on screen and hit "ok" on remote again to begin the reset. If your system is locked and it asks for a password when entering the menu punch in 7,7,7,7 on the remote to gain access to the menu. hope this helps you!

Funny, same thing happened to me about the same time! Took me a while to figure out how to fix it. You have to get to the HDTV Settings menu and hit the Help icon. Do a Clear Memory/(Factory Default) and go thru that process, basically you go through all the settings just as you did the first time you powered up the TV. This will fix your problem.

The challnge is...how to get to the HDTV Settings menu when your VIA button only brings up the error you described? I finally got there like this: Hit the "Input" button on the remote, navigate to "TV" and hit OK (basically just select TV as your input), hit the Menu button on the remote and that will bring up the HDTV Settings menu and then proceed as above

If you're on cable then I would think you are connected via a scart, therefore you need to select use your Input button on the remote or the manual button & scroll through the menu & select the AV source.

You still need a converter box for it to work off the antenna.
