Did you try boot from the CD with the OS? is it the Same? Did you replace the hard dirive with another?
Is the HDD/CD disk light flashing or illuminate during power up? It should!
WIthout a quality audio interface the answer is you don't... You need to procure an audio interface for the computer. The internal audio systems of computers are too noisy to get decent results. The manual for the mixer will show the typical studio connection with a suggested audio interface.

Touch screens can develop a problem of dirt getting under the edge causing triggering as if one is pressing there is only one of several possibilities.
Due to the value of the instrument, I would take this to a repair shop as you probably don't have resources necessary to repair the unit.
