Hi chrisastig try to save the game you are playing to the hard drive so as to play from hard drive & not from the disk ! this is assuming you have enuf room on ur hard drive to copy the game to ?? You will still need to put the game in (even when playing from hard drive) but i find if its a game you play a lot its well worth doing as it saves on the disc drive/disc spinning whilst playing :-) saves on overall usage of the xbox too ! If its ok reading the disc for the first 5 mins of usage it should be ok to copy to the hard drive to play from. If there is a fault with the disc itself it will tell you when you try to copy it to the hard drive & if this is the case (& its a game you like/play a lot??) then try to borrow a copy just to put on ur hard drive only & use ur damaged disc as the 'required even if playing from hard drive' notification to the xbox that you do own the original copy ! Damaged discs are usually ok for 'playing from hard drive' as the information the xbox requires is very little but enuf for it to allow you to play the game (from the hard drive) You will find it a lot quieter whilst playing anyway ! i think so !
hope this helps :-)
please remember thumbs up :-)
p.s. refer to ur xbox user manual or drop me a mail if you have any problems doing any of the above ??
hey problem is the drive key on your dvddrive doesn't match the new m/board you put in...??
you need to get the drive key off the new m/boards original drive and flash it tot your driv.... each m/board has a matching key on there dvd drive.
Can you play it on your friend's 360 with your hard drive? You could try going on your xbox's memory and delete all of the updates you have downloaded. Just go to: my xbox-system settings-memory-highlight your hdd and push the y button-on the screen type x x lb rb x x and a message should pop up asking if you want to perform maintenance on your hard drive. If you select yes it will clear all of the updates you've downloaded. Hopefully it'll work then
hey there, I would open the Xbox 360 dashboard, then go to memory, and press Y on the hard drive to open the "Device Options" menu. Then press the following sequence of buttons: X, X, LB, RB, X, X. You will be asked if you want to perform maintenance on your hard drive and delete all patches.select yes I hope this helps
Send the piece of garbage back to Microsoft. Most likely it is a hardware failure inside the unit. Same thing happened to me after their fall update to the dashboard. It bricked my unit and could not play any of my games for longer than 5 minutes. You can try to power off your unit, remove your hard drive, turn it back on, and see if you can play without your hard drive.
Ok i know how to solve your problem. First you must go on the xbox sit and download or buy and update disc. Then put it in your xbox and follow the on screen instructions.
