Is there a security light lit on the dash or anti-theft system symbol ? If it is the anti-theft system your going to have to take to the dealer ,sorry but you don't have the diagnostic equipment to fix this .

SOURCE: security system/battery

plz check the following and update me
1. Fuel (To be exact proper air/fuel ratio, normally it is about 14/1)
2. Spark (in appropriate moment)
3. Proper timing (the valves should open and close only in appropriate time)
4. Compression in the cylinders (Normal compression is 120 - 170 psi. The engine won't start if the compression is lower than 70 - 80 psi.)

SOURCE: won't even "click" nor " crank" when trying to start .

Agree, it sounds like the starter and it happens often on old Camry. When was the last time you had the starter replaced? The cartalk guys once suggested getting a mallet and bang on the starter and it will work. Eventually you will need a replacement. It is way cheaper to go to junkyard and get a used one (ask them to test before buy).

2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. Where is the security system fuse located on my vehicle.

Question edited for clarity, FULL 'year make model'.
Question moved to model category.

There isn't a fuse. If there was, someone could break the window, open the door and quickly remove the fuse. The anti-theft security system is a complex system involving the antitheft module, sensors, the ECM and the BCM. They are computers that can't be reprogrammed to remove anti-theft feature.

'Thinking' is not good. What brings you to this conclusion? There are ways to check for parasitic draw and thinking is not one of them :>D

You need a good auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.

2007 Chevy Silverado. Why after sitting three months vehicle has no power to doors or ignition switch, and fails to start with new battery installed?

Check for rodent damage. Do head lights or horn work (no key necessary) ?

If neither the headlights nor the horn are working then the BCM is not functioning. Check BCM fuses (more than one).

How to reset anti-theft system on a 2003 Infinity

If you have a check engine light on then you need to scan the codes. Before you do that, check all fuses, powers, and grounds for good contact and make sure there are no loose wires or any corrosion. if fuses, wires, powers and grounds all check out good. then you need to scan the codes and isolate if you are lacking fuel or spark. could be a simple ecu program or security reset. notice the security light when you go to crank it. does it blink, stay solid or flash in any sort of pattern? feel free to call if need be 4 2 3 3 2 7 4 1 0 8 Tim

2000 ford 350 starter ingages buy its self and dinger starts ringing and door locks start functinoing

this sounds like a low battery as the drain to start is causing the anti theft system to cut in as it thinks (i know it's a car but they do try to make the ECU think ) its being stolen , have the battery checked ,make sure you have the radio security code details etc before changing battery , drivers handbook will give all the details you will need

Vehicle will not start even with a new battery, but the windows still roll up and down and the head lights still come on. Could it be a fuse?

The chances of your problem being CAUSED by a fuse are ZERO. Fuses do not cause electrical failures. Electrical failures cause blown fuses.
If the battery was dead and has now been replaced, the MOST LIKELY cause of your problem is that the antitheft system "thinks" that somebody has tried to steal your car and has disabled engine starting.

Try this: LOCK your vehicle using the remote lock on your key fob. Wait approximately 5 minutes for the security system to "time out" then UNLOCK the car, again using the remote. Then immediately get in and try to start the engine. If ths does not work, your security system or one of the other systems on your vehicle needs service. You will have to tow it in for diagnosis.
