Need to replace cord, can't get it apart

A lot of times company with use torx screws and they hide them you have to disable the rear housing. Make sure you watch how you take it apart because you will need to do the revised to reassemble it. Also make sure you put a cord whip on the housing were the cord go' s in

Open the case, locate the two AC wires and detach. Get new cord and replace as per the previous wire attachments.

prise it apart I'm pretty sure it has clips much like a computer case.

The tv a/c power cord have internal damages short on the head of the a/c plug itself.This work job is pretty simple if u can do a basic soldering jobs and have tools like a soldering iron and a roll of solders.Look around in ur house for a table portable lamp u don't used anymore unsolders and take that portable lamp a/c power cord.It have very simular design and make of a power a/c cord.Take the tv aparts simplely just unsolder the old tv power a/c cord and replace it with a portable table lamp a/c power cord.Those stars srews on the tv are called Allan wrench screws,must a have a set of Allan wrench screws drivers to use take out this screws out of the tv.Some ealier DLP tvs set made by GE are using these Allan wrench screws,tries to make it much more difficult to take the tv aparts as GE they're trying not to allow tvs owner to take the tv aparts.Or have any friend to help u can do it,have a soldering iron,a rolls of solders,have basic soldering skills.A Allen wrench screws drivers set u can buy it anywhere in a hardware store.

If you had one of the nuts you could probably match it up otherwise it is best just to buy the KIT

In order to access the cord on the Miele S183 upright, you'll need to first remove the handle from the vacuum cleaner. There is a large screw that holds the handle in place that is located under neath of the lower cord wrap hook. Simply remove this screw, and slide the off the vacuum by pushing the handle towards the back of the machine.

Once you have the handle removed, now ope the bag door as if you were going to replace the vacuum bag. You'll see two screws directly above where the bag fits inside of the machine. These two screws will open up the switch and cord housing and give you access to the electrical cord.

You'll see that there are two screws that secure the cord as it comes into the vacuum from the back. Remove both of these screws so that the cord is no longer secured. I think the easiest way to replace this cord is to simply cut the cord (MAKE SURE THE VACUUM IS UNPLUGGED) so that there is about 4-5 inches of the cord jacket (rubber coating around the cord) remaining. You may now just pull this cord jacket off of the cord, along with the paper insulation so you have two bare wires of the old cord. Now take your new cord and push it into the back of the vacuum so that it comes through the switch housing. Instead of having to re-secure the cord with the two screws, I've found that if you tie a small knot in the cord, this works just as well at preventing the cord from pulling through the back of the vacuum.

Simply strip the wires that are left from the old cord, and simply wire nut the new cord after tying a knot (or re-securing it with the two screws), and reassemble the vacuum cleaner. Test the vacuum only after putting the switch housing cover back into place.

I found the hidden screws under the cord rewind and power buttons.

un do all screws on back of vac replace cord screw back together

six screws on bottom plate two hidden under rubber feet on bottom under lower screw holes

I got the Torx security bit at Ace hardware for a couple of bucks
