Question about Epson Stylus CX6600 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Cx66oo not connected to computer

I have just installed my cx6600 epson printer on to a new computer all the ink cartridges are ok. When i go to printthe utility showing ink levels shows no colour in the ink columns and document just goes into a print queue. The message on the ink utility says that the printer is not connected properly but all the leads are in and the printer is ready.

Turn the volume up on your PC and switch on the printer. Does the PC do the "Bing Bong" that indicates it has recognised a USB device being connected?

If yes, delete the current version of the printer and remove the software. Go to Epson website and download all the new drivers and software for your machine.

Install the new driver first. Now try printing again. If still no good then there may be a further issue with either your cable or the printer. Try moving the cable to a different USB port on the PC. If still no good, try a new cable. If still no good, most likely a problem with the printer. Test the cable and port by using a different device.

Installed new black ink cartridge on Epson CX6600. Followed set up instructions to install. "Recharging" comes up on LCD then switches back to "Replace ink Press the color button. Will not print. Can...

Probarbly the ink you inserted might be bad,replace back with the old one and see whats comes up next,if pesist,do a head cleaning and clean all the inks and reinsert them back.

Changed ink, but it still says the ink is low

Epson cartridges have to be reset with a inexpensive reset tool you can find on Ebay. It should have been reset at the factory, but this is not an uncommon problem. If it is new, I would get an exchange. Also if you can find a printer refill store such as Cart~Wiz, you might be able to get someone nice enough to reset it for you.

You may need to re-install the latest update for printer driver software before connecting the printer.

Not printing

try to check if the type are not remove in the cartridge then check if the printer head cable of the print head is ok.. ^^ if not you need to tighten it up.. or maybe the pritner head cable is damaged

New ink cartridge not working properly

if you open the lid of the printer you should have the ink slide to have you take it out.
I would unplug the printer for about 5min and then plug it back in and then it should ask you to redo it again.

CX6600 Epson - prints blank pages

If the Nozzle Check Pattern page prints correctly and completely, the problem may lie within your software settings, the interface cable, or your computer.

To remove and install only the Printer Driver for your CX6600, please perform the following steps:

Driver Removal

1. Go to START then SETTINGS and click on CONTROL PANEL ( START and CONTROL PANEL in Win XP) and double-click ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
2. To remove the printer portion select EPSON PRINTER SOFTWARE and click on REMOVE. Ensure the correct printer model is selected on the uninstall utility.
3. Click OK and follow the prompts. If asked to confirm removal of any personal settings or shared files, click YES or OK.
4. Once the components are removed, power off your unit and disconnect the USB cable.

2. Under Welcome to Epson Support click on ALL-IN-ONES and select FLATBED and then your Stylus model name. Under the Drivers & Downloads section select WINDOWS.
3. Download the most current driver for your printer and operating system.
4. Follow prompts through survey and license agreement and downloading will begin. When prompted, choose to SAVE this file; SAVE it to your desktop so it is easy to find.
5. Once download is complete, close your internet browser. To install simply double-click the file you downloaded and follow the prompts.

Ink problems


1. First make sure you have installed the catridge correctly by taking out and placing it again.

2. Then,
The following Epson ink cartridges should be used in your device:

Black: T0431 (high capacity cartridge)
or T0441 (standard capacity cartridge)

And make sure you use the genuine original EPSON catridge.

3. If you are using a genuine one, then TRY TURNING OFF YOUR PRINTER AND SWITCH IT ON AGAIN.

Changing Cartridges

I inspected the users manual, there it writes:

The steps below to replace an ink cartridge: Caution: Leave the empty cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out. To ensure good results, use genuine Epson ink cartridges and do not refill them. Other products may cause damage to your CX6600 not covered by Epson’s warranty. 1. If an ink cartridge is empty: Look at the LCD screen to see which cartridge is empty, then press the x Color button. If an ink cartridge is low: Press the Setup button to enter Setup Mode, then press the green button next to the LCD screen until Replace Ink is displayed. Then press the x Color button. 2. Lift up the scanner 1314127a0e502194c0d970046a123efc.png 3.Wait for the ink cartridge holder to move over, then open its cover.
4. Identify the cartridge you need to replace. Press in the tab at the back of the cartridge, then lift it straight out. Dispose of it carefully.
5. Before unwrapping the new cartridge, shake it gently four or five times. Then remove it from its wrapper.
6. Insert the new cartridge into the holder. Press down firmly until it clicks into place.
Close the ink cartridge cover.
Lower the scanner.
The CX6600 begins charging the ink delivery system and “Charging . . .” appears on the LCD screen. Wait for charging to finish before using your CX6600.

Caution: Never turn off the printer while “Charging . . .” appears on the LCD screen, unless the CX6600 hasn’t moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes.
