This is a typical problem with the video board inside the TV becoming faulty. I recommend taking it to the store you purchased it at and asking if they are able to fix it.

Your plasma screen is made up of 1080 verticle lines and now a few of these lines are not working. This is the screen itself and needs replacing.

Encompass Parts Distrubtion has parts for this TV on most vizio they replace Main board tuner board.1-800-638-3328 you can also look on E-Bay for better Price on Parts, they had this board for $169.00

This is a fault developing within the screen, the only remedy is to have the screen replaced, there is no exact answer to why this has happened, it is just the nature of a plasma screens make-up that sometimes a fault can develop like this within the characteristics the display
