Not sure on the x-reference for that one...but try www.nadist.com they are Nakajima manuals but they are the same as some of the Olympia models.

A General Ribbon T6 or equivelent will work.

The protect message indicates that a problem was detected in the last stage of the amplifier and that it has shutdown to prevent further damage. Usually this indicates that the output transistors have failed. Any shop that works on audio should be able to repair this. Expect a part cost in the $20-$40 range. Add in the local labor rate for the total repair cost.

for one like the factory one it will cost you any where from $40 or more if it have a security chip in it.

As you suspect, it is beyond economic repair. Replacement seems the only option.
