Question about AOC Computers & Internet
The button on the provided iMenu disc doesn't work as clicking it gives no effect. The solutions in the control panel such as brightness scroll bars are either not working or don't exist on my Windows 7 desktop. There is also no button on the actual monitor par the power button.

I can not find a good spec on i-menu, how old of GPU cards work
edid or DDC2 card both?

The combination of EDID and I²C is called Display Data Channel Version 2 ( DDC2 ). The " 2 " indicates that DDC2 is different from VESA's original DDC (they use a different serial format).
i'd say off hand I-menu talks down DDC2 line.
and the card you run has no DDC2 level support it fails
or the video card or chip GPU has a wrong DRIVER loaded or non at all.
that is the best I can do lacking full spec on i-menu

here is a best choices for cheap card, and DDC2.present
VGA only, pins 12 and 15 , DDC2 grade.
the huge problem is VGA is not sold now new. so only old cards have vga (or buy and adapter that is VGA to HDMI and does DDR2.

nVidia 950 with vga to dvi plug adapter in the box. $10 used ALL
newer cards even no VGA have DDC2 or edid or both and with an adpator, there is edid pass though even VGA to DVI.
not one video card maker i can find lists cards they made with edid.
or full DDC2B (both)
the best deal IMO is DVI, with the passive free VGA adapter.
I know how to scan the GPU card/chip to learn if edid is there.

I do not know all cards that can do cheap, my guess is the 950
sniffing App. ddc2 edid v1.3 up is best.

Try doing the following Keep the exit button pressed for a few seconds untill you see a change on the screen when the control pannel is locked and the locked screen appears on the screen..... try it and lemme know about

Befor replacing the Control ic please check the micro switches those could also be faulty.

SOURCE: Power button won't turn off monitor
Problem is made by switches which are bad quality, you have to take your monitor to the nearest samsung service center or if you want you can change this switches by yourself. You can find them in conrad stores named phap3363 and art.nr: 700310 - 62.

I fund that way how to unlock monitor menu... Press Enter Button and Hold it 1 minute. After that is appearing "Monitor is unlocked" Msg......

Hold down the power button to turn it off, then hit the power button and immediately hold down the left side of the ring. Wait for the OK to disappear.
Took me a couple tries, but it works.
