Why am I continually getting 'bypass paper mismatch' message?

Go to the control panel under paper select bypass tray set to A4 or 81/2x11 select weight and the go to computer select bypass tray and paper weight

Sounds like someone requested A4 size paper in a print job instead of the normal Letter size paper...
Try putting regular letter size paper in the bypass tray and then set it up as A4 size...the print job should then print out on that paper.

Nothing to worry about. It just means that you have printed a page or pages that all the trays do not have the correct paper size. Say your trays all have A4 papers and you printed a PDF document (US letter size) downloaded from America. Printer prints the page, then print another page with your error message just to tell you your pages do not match the papers. This is HP PCL6 code. A Postscript printer driver will just refuse to print if page size mismatches and keep the user wondering why.

To avoid the message, just make sure that your documents have the same page settings as papers in your printer trays.

Check your default paper settings in your setup menu. Also, check the paper size is set correctly on you paper trays for the type of paper that is in them. Make sure that the documents that you are printing are set to proper paper size that is in your printer. All the issues, will cause this condition plus some. This problem is commonly found across printers, and is not specific to your printer model.

This problem occurs if:

• You select the Hold mismatched documents option on the Advanced tab of the Properties windows of the printer.
• The printer driver user interface (UI) plug-in uses the full UI replacement functionality. This means that printer driver replaces the default Windows printer dialog interface, so Windows fails to find certain registry keys to determine the paper type.

If you are seeing this issue on XP, you can do the following:
1. Go to Printers and Faxes from the Start Menu (or type the following command in the Start->Run window: control printers).
2. Right click on the affected printer's icon, and click on Properties.
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Uncheck the option Hold mismatched documents.
5. Some printers have the default paper type as Letter, so please change the printer properties to use A4 as the default
5. Click OK to save the settings change.
6. Wait for 15 seconds, and try to restart your printer job if needed. Usually, Windows will automatically restart the job, once the paper mismatch setting is resolved.
7. Ensure that you make the above printer property settings change on every computer where your printer is installed.

if that is when your printing you have to check and be sure the paper tray size is set correctly. You press the machine status button and make sure, tray 1, 2 and the bypass are set to the proper size paper.

You'll have to set up the paper settings within the copier to reflect heavy paper for the bypass tray. You'll need to make this a default setting. Then when you print out with heavy paper via the print drivers it should pick up automatically at the printer.

I cant using bypass tray for printing. I set A4 for paper size to every places. But it tells the papersize is mismatch?

The paper size selected in the menu system must match the paper size in the rec. (recording) paper tray. If you have 'letter' size paper in the tray and the menu system is set for 'A4' paper you will get this message. Either put A4 size paper in the tray, or change the paper size in the menu system to 'letter'.
