Got a second hand Jam and when I start the system it goes all the way to the menus pop up screen and then stops. I can sync with PC still I just cant get the device past this screen. I would like to do a total rebuild if possable but don't know where to start?
HARD RESET PROCEDURE hold down the power button and push the reset. You don't have to use a paper clip if you've styles fits, but don't use anything sharp, such as a safety pin. This should return your PDA to the way it came from the box.

You can download the file to your system, from the website, if you already have the program you can install with 2 procedures.
1. Normal Setup installation
2. .Cab Installation
1. For normal installation , you have to install Microsoft Active Sync 3.7 for your Imate Jam
Normally the programmes comes for the imate having the setup files
How To install a program:
Simply run the setup of the program you wish to install, make sure you phone is connected and active sync is running, Setup will run and it will ask you where you have to install the prog in Memory card or phone memory and you will see notification on your phone for installation
2. .Cab installation
You copy the .cab file of any software into memory card and run the cab in your phone, it will ask you to install the program and just follow the on-screen instruction and you will be able to install the program in your phone.

Hi there, For normal installation , you have to install Microsoft Active Sync 4.5 for your Imate Jam and a USB cable,You can download the Microsoft Active Sync software from the link below Microsoft Active Sync 4.5 Once you download the Microsoft active sync , simply run the setup and it will install it automatically, then connect your mobile phone, and it will install your phone automactically If you require more assistance, regarding this feel free to reply to this post Regards-BA
You can try with hard reset, i am not sure if it will work : keep pressed volume - , on/off
button and reset button( from the bottom side of the device) for a few
seconds
Ok ur prob is booting.....? I think u have extra storage card inserted in ur hand set so just remove the card and restart the system, it will boot. and if still the prob continues its OS prob, u should take it to the nearer i-mate service centre.
