I have two HP 2600N Printers. Both have had issues with yellow smearing to the page. You replace the Yellow toner and it will go for awhile and then start to smear again. One even gave a " Yellow not installed" message and will not print. Any suggestions. Bruce
Both were HP toners and I am trying make sue I can narrow this down. Maybe HV? Or can it be another connection? Both were HP toners and I am trying make sue I can narrow this down. Maybe HV? Or can it be another connection?
Thanks, I tried a test were on the printer that was showing yellow to the page I went and used a yellow that I know was good and it printed the first page fine. Then on the second page it showed a yellow over 3 inch square area on the lower right. The Third sheet was all yellow across the page. It still prints the DOC fine it just has a yellow over the printed DOC. I then put the toner back in the printer that I have that works fine and it printed with no problems. Bruce BruceThanks,

Check the yellow toner cartridge, printing a configuration page.
Configuration page The Configuration page lists the current settings and properties of the printer. You can print a Configuration page from the printer or HP Toolbox. To print the Configuration page from the printer, complete the following steps. 1 Press the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) buttons to select the Reports menu. 2 Press the button (SELECT). 3 Press the (LEFT ARROW) or the (RIGHT ARROW) buttons to select Config report. 4 Press the button (SELECT) to print the Configuration page.
Yellow print OK? No? try print with another yellow toner cartridge (Q6002A).
If you have BLACK Marks on the paper the YELLOW roller does not need to be cleaned usually.
To clean the yellow toner off the roller use a DRY lint free cloth. For this issue my suggestion for a resolution to the Yellow toner issue is replace the toner. They are not supposed to leak in the first place.
As for the BLACK tone on the left of the page you most likely have a Fuser issue causing that.
Generally this is a toner cartridge issue. Are you using genuine toner cartridges or generic remanufactured? I have attended alot of repairs on this model when clients use generic cartridges. Usually a genuine cartridge fixes the problem.
Sounds like you're probably running compatible cartridges. I sell a fair number of these cartridges to my customers, and it took a while to find a brand that actually worked. If you're seeing toner all over the place, the cartridges are most definitely the problem.
the problem is cyan and yellow toner are low, u will change the cyan and yellow it will be cleared otherwise the will be empty u can't print any thing suppose one will empty other cartridge will not work
