How to fix error in database: microsoft office access has detected corruption in this file

I am in the process of developing an Access 2003 application, and almost done. While I was fixing some errors with controls on one of the reports, seems like the database corrupted. Now, I keep getting microsoft office access has detected corruption in this file....etc. It instructs me to Compact & Repair, but when I get the same error message when I try that. If I open a blank database & try to import objects from the corrupted database, I cannot access/view the objects of the corrupted file from the blank database. Unfortunately, I dont have a backup of the file, I can try to restore to an earlier storage point using System Restore, but will lose considerable work. Any ideas?

Access database 2003 problem with a copy of database file. How to fix?

You say corrupt, in what way exactly? Do you get any specific error numbers/messages?

Have you tried Access repair program? Compact and Repair. If not, use it. But ensure that you made a backup, it is necessary because all the recovery tips can make the damage even worse.

Also try Jet Compact Utility. This tool created by Microsoft and it is much like Compact and Repair, but more successful in repairing.

If no one of above advice helps, then perhaps you need more powerful solution. In this case try to run a good third-party. I would recommend Recovery Toolbox for Access. It must help you. https://access.recoverytoolbox.com/

eRepair Access is a powerful Access database recovery solution for damaged *.mdb and *.accdb files created in Access 2000 and above. Having such a tool at hand immediately after a database file corruption incident may save you a great deal of time, nerve and, of course, an ample amount of money that would otherwise be paid to third-party recovery services. With eRepair Access, you don't need to depend on anyone and entrust your Access data (often quite sensitive) into somebody else's hands. You don't have to wait. You don't have to call it a day knowing that the damaged Access file will not be restored (if at all) until tomorrow. With eRepair Access, you can be back in the game within minutes!

Corrupt 'msmMMOB.mdb' file

Hi,
Create a new OMFI folder, and copy accross half of your media, to see if it works, and slowly by process of elimination youi should work out where the corrupt file is. Slow process but it works. Repairing the databases isn't likely to help. the databases have to reflect the media files in that folder.
If MC needs to update them it's because the folders contents have changed. Repairing them will at best get you back to an out of date position but must likely MC will detect they don't match the current file position and immediately rebuild them. The corrupt media file(s) need to be located by a process of dividing them up. Only MC can build the databases and it can only do that with good media files in the folder. And why is the OMFI media files error handling not so robust? I'd guess because OMFI media is an old technology and for many years the Avid read-mes have recommended moving to MXF files.

If it doesnt work, try to look at the answer here: http://www.filerepairforum.com/forum/microsoft/microsoft-aa/access/574-fixing-corrupt-mdb-files

Or try some repair tool:
MDB Repair Kit is the best Microsoft Access MDB repair tool on the market that enables users to quickly and easily restore the contents of corrupted databases.

Access problem

see if the LDB file still exist and delete it...

Whenever you open an Access database, a file with the same name as the database and an extension of LDB will be opened automatically. For example if you open Northwind.mdb in the samples directory of your Access/Office installation, a file called Northwind.ldb will be generated. This new file keeps track of users and the objects that require some form of locking in the database. When all users have exited gracefully from the database, the LDB file is closed down and deleted.
